Before we had a chance to dance to the slow song the song changed to my favorite upbeat song and we both started dancing differently, while I danced like an average Indiana country girl he danced like an Egyptian. When it was at least an hour away from dawn Ahkmenrah took me up to the roof and said. "You dance pretty well for a girl from Manhattan." I blushed and got a little offended. "Thanks you dance pretty well to for an Egyptian Prince. And by the way I'm not from Manhattan, I'm from Indiana the country part though." He laughed and apologized, I told him it was ok and we sat there leaning up against the wall with my head on his shoulder.
The sun was starting to rise so we said our good byes and went our separate ways. Two days later at school, "Bye Jodie. Have fun in Paris." I yelled to my friend as she waved goodbye. I got in my car and went home to get ready to go to Nick's house. "Bye mom I'm heading over to Nick's!" I yelled as I took off it was my birthday so I wanted to get out of there.
"Hi Mr. Daley." I said as I waved to Nick's father. "Hi Kelsey, happy birthday." Mr.Daley never forgets my birthday. "Thanks." As I walked along to find Nick I saw Jedidiah and Octavius. "Hi guys." I said as I stopped by them. "Well howdy there gigantorette we over heard gigantor talking happy birthday." I smiled and thanked them as well. "Well I'm sorry to disappoint ya on your birthday but Ahkmenrah isn't here. He went with Nick to one of those movie theaters." I smiled and said thank you for telling me as I walked away.
How did they know I was here to see Ahkmenrah? Nick! I'm so gonna kill him I decided to forget about Ahkmenrah, today's my birthday for Pete's sake, I could go to the planetarium and look at the constellations, or I could go up to the roof.
I decided to go up to the roof to sit and watch the stars, but when I got up there I brightened up when I saw Ahkmenrah. He turned around startled, he was surrounded by a bunch of light up plastic candles there was a picnic set up. "Ahkmenrah Jed and Octavius said you went with Nick to the movies." He smiled as though my ignorance was funny then said. "I heard Larry and Nick talking and heard them say it was your birthday and-well I I admire you and I was hoping you might like to have a picnic with me." I walked towards him and said. "I'd love to." He smiled at me and we both sat down.
We talked about our families and stuff that we hated we also talked about some movies and TV shows. "Wait a minute you've never seen Dragon Ball Z Kai , we totally have to watch it." He nodded and said. "OK alright."
