Yoongi's POV

The wind blew fiercely as I stared at the approaching alpha. His bright red eyes glowed in the dark as he got closer. He stopped in his tracks abruptly. His body stood only a few feet away.

"Well, well, look who's path I crossed in my territory. What are you doing here, Yoongi?"

"You have something of mine. I'd like it back."

"I believe you're mistaken. I don't have anything of yours. Let me correct you, I have something of your fathers. And I'm not going to give it up easily."

"You have no right to keep that. It belongs to our pack, not yours."

"If I remember correctly, I was a part of your pack. Until your father kicked me out. I have just as much right to the stone as you do."

"Don't make this harder than it has to be. Just give it back and I'll be on my way."

"I don't think so, Yoongi. I'm not giving up the stone. If you want it back, you'll have to get it yourself. And before you could do that, you'd have to get through me. And trust me, a weak little omega like you has no chance against me, the strong alpha."

I growled. "I'm not scared of you. I've beat you before, I could do it again."

"You did yes, but I've grown stronger now. How do you think I became alpha so fast? You have nothing against me anymore."

"Just give me the stone."

"I told you that's not going to happen. You have two options. You could leave now, without a single scratch on your body. Or, you could try and get the stone, but come up empty handed. And with that option, you'd be too weak to even return to your pack. The choice is yours."

"Fine, if that's how it's going to be. I won't go without a fight."

He smirked. "You're making a mistake."

"Maybe, but at least I'll try."

I turned back to my human self, coughing and spitting blood onto the ground. He stood above me and smirked.

"Look at you. Beat to hell. So pathetic. What will your father think when you return?"

"F-Fuck you." I spit on his face.

He growled and wiped it off. Then he looked at me, his eyes still bright red.

"Don't you ever show your face here again. If you ever return, I'll gladly beat you again. But I might not let you live." He moved away from me.

"Get out of here."

???'s POV

As I walked further along my territory, I spun the stone in my hands. It felt so good to hold it in my hands. I took a deep breath and let out a sigh. As I approached my pack, I heard a cry from behind the trees. It was hard to recognize. It didn't sound like any of the pups in the pack. It was.. strange. Annoying.

I walked towards the noise. The sound increased in volume and irritated me as I got closer. When I turned a corner, there I found it. It was a girl. A small girl. She had black hair that hung barely to her shoulders. Her scent was different.

She turned as she heard a branch break. I could see the fear in her eyes as she saw me. She took a step back, stepping into the light. Her face glimmered with tears. I felt... bad. I bent down in front of her and slowly reached me hand towards her.

"Hey... It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." I lightly smiled at her.

She gulped and cautiously stepped towards me. She placed her hand on mine.

"Why are you crying?"

"M-My Eomma and A-Appa... They're gone. I don't know where t-they went. W-We were playing hide and s-seek. I was c-counting but now they are gone."

"Did you look for them?"

"Y-Yes I did."

"How long have they been gone?"

"I-I don't know. But I'm s-scared."

"It's gonna be okay. I'll protect you."

"Alpha." I looked behind me and found one of the wolves from my pack. "I must speak with you."

I looked back at the girl. "You stay here. I'll be right back, okay?" She nodded.

I got up and went over to the wolf. "What is it?"

"Sir, we found two bodies on the edge of the territory."

"What do you mean?"

"Humans. A male and female. They were holding these." He handed me a teddy bear and a bag. I looked back at the girl for a second then back at him.

"Go back to the pack. I'll be there in a little while." He nodded and ran off.

I turned back towards her. She slowly came to me.

"W-What is that?" She pointed to the stuff in my hands. I showed her the teddy bear.

"Is this yours?"

She smiled and reached towards it. "Teddy!" She took it and held it close to her body.

My heart ached at the scene. Her parents are dead. I couldn't just leave her here. I only had one choice.

"Follow me."

"Where are we going?"

"Your new home."

After introducing her to the pack, I brought her to where I spelt. I made her a spot next to me and laid her down. She cuddled up against me. She seemed to feel safe around me. She instantly fell asleep.

I smiled as I looked at her. I placed a light kiss on her forehead.

"I promise I will protect you. You are a part of our pack now, Y/N."
