Luxurious softness envelopes me as I wake as well as warmth for a moment I feel like it was just a bad dream but the aches and pains bring me back to reality. Opening my eyes I find myself in a warmly lit room lying on a mattress or cushion of sorts it is different than the pit, warm, roof over my head, dry. There was no apparent doors or windows but a recess in the wall suggesting a portal. In a corner across from where I lay is a water fountain, which I move to investigate as my throat is parched. When I approach it it automatically starts to trickle water which I drink rapidly it was good water clean, not tasting like garbage. Looking around I find a shelf at my eye level that has a human sized blanket and a ball made out of some rubbery foamy material. I pick up the blanket and hug it it is clean and soft, there doesn't seem to be much else to do so I curl up with it on the bed. After a while when I almost nod off I hear the portal open an I drive under the bed and pull the blanket under with me. Soon the footsteps of one of them ring out, is it one of the ones with the white aprons? Or what if its blue horn? The footsteps approach my hiding spot and I begin to hyperventilate as the aproned creature slowly lifts the bed.
With a worried expression it reaches for me and I whimper. As its hand touches me I panic and lash out hitting and kicking. It immediately steps back across the room. SHIT! Now I did it, now I would be beaten, I collapse in a crying fit covering my head and stomach. The creature sighs and pushes a button high up on the wall I hadn't noticed. Three more white aproned creatures come in and they quickly grab me. I thrash in there grip but they take the blanket and swaddle me like a child. Something soft is slipped over my face blocking my vision. I quiver and cry waiting for pain but the creature just rocks me back and forth. When I calm the creature begins to walk and while I don't see it I experience that icy cold sensation of a portal for a second time. I feel them lower me on to a soft surface and they remove the blindfold and release me. Looking around I see that the room is bigger and notice another bed in the opposite corner. The creature draws my attention to a corner where there's another fountain and a table bolted in place, on the table is a tray with a pile of some sort of cracker things knowing what they want and how hungry I am I walk over and grab one, I cringe as I raise it to my mouth. As I bite into it I am supposed to find it to be palatable, only slightly dry, and the flavor reminded me of grilled meat, cheese and just a bit salty. It was ok though I wouldn't have been impressed before I was here.
My stomach demanded more so I ate three more, the were about the size of a hamburger bun. When I stepped back the creature tapped two fingers together then handed me a slice of some sort of fruit. As I bit into it my mouth exploded with flavor it was amazing! I might be a little bit out of sorts but this tastes better than anything I ever have eaten. As the creatures make there way out the portal the light dims and I lay down quickly falling asleep.
