How I do it

Everyone is busy, everyone doesn't want to talk sometimes, what impresses me is when someone consistently talks to me even when they're busy and/or don't feel like talking.

If someone consistently talks to you even when they're busy and/or don't feel like talking, then you know they prioritize you + talking to you above their own mood +/ their schedules. I do so for people I want to impress, I prioritize them above my schedules + my mood of "I don't feel like talking," to see if they would do the same for me.

If I talk to someone even when I don't feel like talking, but they don't do the same for me, as in, they don't prioritize me above their mood while I prioritize them above my mood, then I'm giving my attention to the wrong person.

If I prioritize someone above my schedules / how "busy" I am (you're not busy you're inefficient if you tell yourself you're busy), but they don't do the same for me, then I'm giving my time to the wrong person.

If I am able to place someone above my schedules +/ my mood, there isn't anything they can say to convince me that they're unable to do the same for me. I'm not super, if I can do it, they can too. If they cannot, then I shall find someone who can do what I can do, that way we're both on the same level.
