Chapter 4

I looked at the wild waves. The sky was a thick, cloudy grayish blue color. Kind of like cream of mushroom soup. Jacob, Seth, Leah and I walked up to the shoreline. Jacob gave me a challenging glance. "Are you sure you wanna do this?" He asked. I nodded.

"Hell yeah, I'm so ready!" I told him, fist pumping. The four of us laughed and leapt towards the water in unison. We all made it out pretty far. I hit the water, and sunk. My hair flew in all directions, and for a moment- it was perfectly silent. And just- motionless. The water didn't feel cold or even hot to me. It was all so perfect. My body just sort of floated in that very spot. The grayish glow of the sky was invisible. I was given a new feeling. Although the water was dark, I felt a light open up in my heart. Especially when I felt Jacob's arms wrap around my waist. I whirled around and saw him, staring at me. As I stared at him, he leaned in closer and I realized e was about to kiss me. My heart beat faster, and I placed my arms on his strong, bulky shoulders. He almost pressed his lips on mine-when suddenly, someone was pulling us up. When we were above the surface, we saw who it was. My mother and father and the rest of the Cullens were standing there, hands on there hips. This was it. Jacob and I braced ourselves, waiting for the impact.
