Chapter 2
I slammed the door of my house. Throwing my backpack on the couch, I collapsed into a heap on the floor. Mom came over in less than a second.
"Oh honey, are you alright?" She asked, a concerned look on her pale, flawless face. I nodded, pressing my hand to my forehead.
"I have a headache. Those bullies really made a mark with those insults." I made a face when I finished the sentence.
"Oh, those damned bullies again?! I can't believe they're still going strong!" She snarled.
My father came over at a speed that was much slower than his normal one. "What's going on girls?" He asked.
Mom buried her face in his neck.
"Renesmee was being harassed by the bullies again," she said angrily.
Dad gave me a sympathetic glance and helped me up, crushing me against him. "Why can't she just be left alone? What do they get out of this behavior?!" Mom continued sorrowfully. My dad kissed my forehead and placed his chin gently on my head. He ran his cold hands down my hair. I knew he was trying his best to comfort me. It was kinda working.
"Oh Renemesee," he said, "you need to stand strong. No matter what those bullies say!"
I pulled away, actually surprising myself. "Dad, that's the kind of pep talk a father gives his freaking 2 year old daughter!"
Dad looked hurt. He and my mother stared at me sadly. "You are around that age, baby girl," Mom informed me. My parents walked away from me, arm in arm, to their room. They were probably going to discuss how strange their daughter was. I flopped down on the nearest chair. Suddenly, I jumped back up. Maybe a visit at Jacob's would make me feel better.
