Chapter 7

I collapsed on my bed in tears. Why? I just learned that my best friend had imprinted on me when I was a baby! I wish when he saw me, he could have just turned away! Jacob ruined my life! I would never see or speak to him again! I felt so stupid! Why did it have to be me? He was a werewolf I was half vampire-half human! It didn't make any sense! I pressed my face into my pillow. I didn't know why I said I loved him.

"Ness? Nessie!" A voice whispered. I woke up with a start. Who was calling my name? I sat up and looked around. I glanced at the clock beside my bed. it read 3:00 am. Who the hell would be calling my name so early in the morning?! Not even mu freaking parents would do that! Suddenly, there was a soft knock at the window. I whipped my head towards that direction. Jacob. I leapt over to the window, filled with great rage. I'd promised never to see or speak to him again didn't I?

"Go away, Jacob! I never want to see or speak to you again!" I hissed.

Jake looked hurt. I kept my angry face on. I just wanted him to go away!

"Is this about today at the beach? Because if it is, I'm really sorry," he whispered. I almost broke the window and punched him. Instead, I opened it calmly, and pulled him into my room. He stepped in, confused. I glared at him. Jake was so dense!

"This is about you imprinting on me when I was a baby! How could you do that! You're a werewolf and I'm half vampire! And you're my best friend! You ruined my life Jacob! I feel so hurt and....just plain old stupid!" I snarled.

Jacob's eyes widened. Although his skin is very tan, I saw his cheeks get pink.

"You're parents told you, didn't they," he said, not really making it a question.

I shook my head. "No, Rosalie had to."

"What?! Blondie?! Why?"

"Cause I asked her too!"

"Well, I hope you know that I didn't mean to. And it was destiny. We were always meant to be together! That's why things never worked out with your mother and me. When I imprinted, I finally understood why. That's why your mother wanted me around when she was pregnant. Cause it was you. From the very beginning."

When Jacob finished, I wasn't mad anymore. I finally understood that it wasn't his fault. It was destiny. We were meant to be together. As I stared into Jacob's deep brown eyes, he began to lean in. I pulled away and placed my fist on his stomach to stop him.

"Please-just go." I barely managed to whisper that. Jake just stared at me. Then he shrugged, leapt out the window, and ran off into the darkness.
