"do you actually want a tattoo?" sapnap wonders, starfished out on the bed with george lying directly on top of him, the brunette's head lying between sapnap's pecks. the ravenette has one hand in the other's hair, brushing through the sweat-matted curls.

"yeah," george hums, nodding against the other. his eyes are pressed gently shut as he dances along the verge of sleep.

"would you let me do it?" sapnap wonders, more of a genuine question than a request.

"yeah," george answers, voice tired and quiet. "i assumed you would," he admits.

sapnap smiles to himself at that- unsure why, but it just makes him happy. "what do you think you would want?" he asks, intrigued.

"a love heart," george answers. sapnap thinks he is joking to start with, and he's thankful for the fact that he didn't laugh when george continues, "like, a lesser than and a three heart, you know?"

now knowing george is being serious, sapnap thinks about it, and decides it's actually quite a sweet idea. "i like it," he compliments, "cringe but it's cute."

george scoffs, lips curling into a small smile.

"where would you want it?"

george hums in thought, taking a while since he's tired. "maybe my shoulder or something, or my thigh," he answers. "can you do it?"

"yeah, of course, just say the word," sapnap assures, brushing some of george's hair off of his forehead just so he could see the other's cute sleepy face, eyes shut and lips parted slightly.

"now?"

sapnap's eyes widen in mild shock, but he hums. "yeah, i have the stuff for it," he answers. "you don't want more time to think about it?"

george shakes his head. then, after a moment, he mumbles, "you should have one too, so we match."

sapnap has so many thoughts in that moment, but the foremost one is that george has just suggested that they have a permanent mark to connect them together, and he can't help but think about how big of a deal that is for his non-committal friend.

ever since george's ex-girlfriend, he's refused any type of commitment, even if it's something as small as making a legitimate commitment to plans, so this is insanely huge progress.

sapnap tries to calm down his rapid heartbeat, letting the hand that isn't in george's hair move to drag slowly up and down the other's spine. "yeah, i'd love to match with you," he says, "if you want them in the same place it'll have to be on our thighs though, since i already have stuff on my shoulders."

"thighs it is," george mumbles before slowly moving to sit up.

sapnap's hands move away, though one stays sitting gently on the small of george's back as the brunette stretches his arms up above his head with a yawn.
