"thanks man," sapnap says with a smile, handing some cash to mika over the counter.

"no problem," the pink-haired boy responds with a smile, "here's your change."

"cheers," sapnap says, his face scrunching up moments later when he processes the word that just left his mouth. he takes his money, along with the single pack of cigarettes and two yazoos that he'd bought, turning to pass one to punz before saying, "see ya!" to the shopkeeper and swiftly making his way out, the blond following.

they get outside, and sapnap notices how it's starting to get cooler earlier as the summer months slip away again.

"so what is it?" punz asks, twisting the cap off of his drink with a satisfying click.

"it's a milkshake," sapnap answers, not yet opening his as he focuses on taking out a cigarette instead. "except, it's better than a milkshake. honestly might be the only good thing to come out of the uk."

punz laughs at that, walking alongside sapnap as he takes a long swig of the strawberry drink. he hums with it still in his mouth, swallowing before saying, "shit, it actually is good." he moves it away to look at the label before adding, "dream would like these."

"give him this one," sapnap offers immediately, passing his own to punz as he slips a cigarette between his lips. "i'll just grab another one, since i live right by mika's."

"are you sure?" punz asks, reluctantly taking the drink.

"yeah, hundred per cent," sapnap nods, taking his lighter out of his pocket and sparking up the end of the cigarette.

"thanks man," punz speaks happily.

"no problem," he replies dismissively, pocketing the lighter again as he inhales a lungful of tobacco. "so," he starts conversationally, "how're you finding england?"

"good," punz answers, kicking a stone along the sidewalk. "it's definitely different, and i miss a lot of stuff from back home, but i'm getting used to it."

"well you can't be getting used to it if you're still referring to america as 'home'," he points out, sending the blond a knowing side-glance.

punz lets out an amused breath. "yeah, i guess you're right."

"what're you missing most from america?" sapnap wonders, gesturing punz to follow him as they turn into the caravan park. "anything i can help with?"

"not really," he answers honestly. "mainly my friends, i guess. it's hard though, because i feel great in this group, right? but it just feels like something isn't right without them."

"you guys still talk?"

"yeah, i talk to them basically every day on call," punz answers, "it always used to be four of us though, including dream, but he doesn't talk to them anymore so maybe that's why it doesn't feel right."
