I swished and swayed my way into the kitchen to the fridge. My tummy rumbled ever so softly.

Eat some protein, you need it... The little voice lulled. With ease, I began the quick routine of setting up the small kitchen to make eggs, bacon, and pancakes. This mainly consisted of twenty four eggs, two pounds of bacon, and the light fluffy pancake mix in the cupboard.

A pair of warm hands settled on my waist as a warm Chest pressed against my back while I began cracking eggs.
"Some help would be nice" I scolded playfully.

Nick chuckled, the vibrations reverberated throughout his chest and then to mine. It was such a charming and alluring laugh that I couldn't help but join in. He nuzzled my neck, his lips grazing a sensitive spot in the crook of my neck. My breath hitched and he pulled away.

As I tried to regain my breath, I noticed that he had begun to cook the bacon. The scent immediately awoke my senses and sent my egg cracking into over drive. We chatted about everything and anything pertaining to the world in general. I learned that vampires are real, but they are not the overly pale porcelain creatures that most are accustomed to. He also revealed to me that there is such an abundance of supernatural creatures that there is no way to accurately document all the different types. Although, the notion of faeries intrigued me.

"Will you tell me more about these Fae?" I questioned as I helped myself to a second helping of eggs and bacon.
He chuckled again and nodded.

"They've been rumored to have been around since the beginning of time.
The most powerful traveling between worlds. That is until the two siblings, Isra and Orpheus, began the trade of hunting supernaturals. It is said that together they established an army of fifty thousand, just to rid the world of all magic. Their goal seems to have been passed on to generation and generation. They have successfully wiped out the Fae population, the last one to be seen was all the way back in the 1700's." He finished on a solemn note, scooping a mouthful of pancake into his mouth as I chewed thoughtfully.

"What did they look like?" I hummed and he continued to laugh at my overly curious self.

"They were magnificent, a majority had the most glorious wings. They were like none ever seen before. The best way to describe it is a faint colorful shimmering. The ones with glorious wings often had twisted facial features. Normally consisting of either abnormally large filmy white eyes or pitch black eyes that reflect no light. Yet they still remained some of the most beautiful creatures." He took another bite of food and I leaned forward hear his next words.

"Although, the ones without wings were the most beautiful. Often, they had the most dazzling eyes. The vague scriptures always mentioned the eyes. They were the most important in identifying a Fae, the kind, the intentions. There is nothing left about the types of Fae, the damned hunters burned and destroyed everything." His voice was bitter once again.

I decided upon one more Fae related question, "What is known about the Fae without wings?"

A genuine smile graced his lips "They were rare, but had the most unique of powers. All faeries had a strong bond with an aspect of Earth, but those without wings had the most powerful of bonds with it. Whether it have been a strong bond with the ground, the water, the air, trees, the most powerful had connections to the beings of the earth. With the animals or even occasionally a human. The sole purpose for all the faeries was to protect. The winged ones often protected threats to the motherland and the wingless protected all creatures that lived upon the Earth. Much loved, they were."

I decided it was enough with the talk of eradicated beings, "will you tell me about these vampires? Are they actually undead? Can they go out in the sun?" I began bouncing in my seat with excitement.

"Vampires are undead in a way. They do not need the daily nutrients as that as a living human. Although, they do experience emotions, feelings, etcetera. They can go out in the sun, but it is preferred not to. Day time hunting is not as fun, according to some ." He lilted nonchalantly.

"Do they drink human blood?" I questioned, slightly skeptical.

"Actually, no. Not because it's outlawed or anything, but because humans taste quite terrible. Not surprising due to the horrible things most of them ingest."

"Them?" I giggle "you talk as if I am not one of 'them'"

His features turn solemn and he plays with my hand a bit before pulling me onto his lap. "To be honest, Love" he nuzzled my neck and planted a soft kiss at the crook of my neck that sent warm pleasurable shivers down my spine "I'm not sure what you are. But you're most definitely not human."

Dijinia is right... You're special, we are special. It has been hidden for too long. It is nearing the time that we discover the untold. The voice spoke softly, the words rolling out as gentle purrs.

"Dijinia," I sighed "Mate"

"I can't even pronounce Di-Jay-inia, so I will stick to calling you my peach and my princess," he smiled against my neck.

"Make a 'dih' sound" I instructed and he followed orders quite nicely.
"Now, 'shj' now 'in' and finally 'E-ah'" I helped him form the word until it was perfect.

"Are you ready for that first day of school?" He asked after we checked out.

"Pfttt, as ready as I ever will be" I groaned and interlaced our fingers. I couldn't help but relish in the delightful tingles that were still held between us.

He caught me staring at the slender crook of his neck "We will be fine, promise."
