"I think I screwed up last night." Maya blurted to Andy as the two moved rolled hoses in the turnout room.

Andy stopped, afraid of where the conversation was going. "Screwed up what?" Her question had a quaint voice of fear behind it.

"With Emma. You know, our date was last night." Maya said, still only half focusing on the conversation, continued to deal with the hoses.

"Oh yeah, you never let me help with the outfit." Andy began to scold her best friend.

"You weren't home and I was already late." Maya defended herself.

Andy furrowed her eyebrows. "You're never late."

"Well, I was nervous and I didn't know what to wear, so..." Maya responded in a snippish tone.

Andy was left almost speechless, hesitating to ask her next question. "O...kay, so where did you guys go?"

"That place right by the Space Needle- The Pink Door."

"That's like the fanciest place in Seattle. How in the world could you have screwed that up?"

Maya set down the last hose with a heavy sigh. "I don't know, but she was pissed when she left and wouldn't let me drive her home or anything. Said she had an early shift at the hospital. Which is a bunch of bull. And we didn't even kiss goodnight or anything."

"Well, did you try asking her to be your girlfriend?" Andy continued to question, trying to get to the root of the problem.

"No, it was one date." Maya tried to justify immediately.

"That's it!" Andy declared. It was a fancy restaurant, you two have been fucking for like two months, and you had a serious talk? She thought you were going to ask her to be your girlfriend."

Maya shook her head, rejecting the idea. "You know what? No, your ideas suck." She pulled out her phone quickly. "I'm calling her." What shocked her the most is that she was quickly met with Emma's inbox message.

"Hey, it's Doctor Emma Grey. Can't get to the phone right now. Leave your name and say what you gotta say."

"She sent me to voicemail."

"Hey, it's Maya...which you obviously know because of the contact name. Uh, I know you're busy cutting into people to save their lives, but please call me. All right, bye."

"Because of the contact name?" Maggie quoting, cringing as her hands moved inside a body cavity.

"Seriously." Meredith agreed.

"Sounds like she's in deep shit." Amelia muttered, staring at a monitor. All four sisters were in surgery together, an incoming trauma where Meredith, Emma, and Maggie were to operate while Amelia watched the neuro monitors.

"Would you like to respond, Dr. Grey?" The same scrub nurse who had picked up the phone asked her.

"No." Emma responded dryly.

"It sounds like she's in deep shit because she is in deep shit." Amelia realized. "What'd she do?"

"Not important." Emma dismissed her sister, pulling her hands out of the body cavity. "You guys can finish without me."

Emma sat impatiently at the table she and the blonde had reserved a few days prior. She checked her watch again. 17 minutes late. Just as her hope started to fade, she heard the all too familiar voice behind her.
