Funneh finds out that Alec works for Yandere 💔🔪

CHAPTER 2 - Treat You Better

Weeks have passed. Weeks have passed and Funneh still haven't showed up in school. What happened must have really harmed her to the bone. And just like Funneh, Senpai haven't went to school for weeks as well. After finally solving the mystery of Valerie's death, the scar in his heart opened and bleeds once again.

   While Evan is walking down the corridor, he spotted Gold and Kyran talking. "Gold! Kyran!"
   "Hi, Evan!" Gold greets back as she and Kyran goes towards Evan.
   "Where's Funneh?" Evan asked. "She still doesn't want to go to school?"
   Gold takes a deep breath. "Unfortunately, yes. She still couldn't get over about Alec."
   "Dang..." Evan commented.
   "I still couldn't believe Alec would do such thing, to be honest." Kyran lets out what's in his mind. "I've known him since we were kids."
   "Same..." Gold also thought that Alec was a cool guy. "He did nothing but good to us."
   "I thought he just likes wearing dark outfits," Evan said as he crosses his arms. "Turned out, it has a deeper meaning."
   Silence entered the conversation...
   "C-can I visit Funneh after school?" Evan asked. Wanting to check on her himself.
   "I guess..." Gold's unsure answer. "But we have an out of control dog- I mean Draco, my brother. He's pretty strict whenever his older sisters have male visitors or friends."
   Fear suddenly entered Kyran. "I thought I already got all of the yes I could get..." he mumbled. Talking about the approvals if he'll ever finally have the strength to ask out Gold. "Turned out, Gold has another sibling I to please." Little does he know, Gold has two more siblings: Rainbow and Lunar.
   "Were you saying anything?" Gold asks Kyran. She heard her mumbling something. But because he said it in a very low voice, she couldn't understand what he's saying.
   "N-no!" Kyran is back to earth.
   "Hm," Gold made a sound. "Do you want to come too?" She's talking about going to their house to check on Funneh.
   "Sure," Kyran answered. "I want to check up on Funneh too."
   "Let's go," Gold said. Talking about the next class. "We might be late for class. We can discuss this at lunch time."

   "Evan here, Funneh," Evan enters Funneh's room. She looks so depressed and haven't properly slept. He takes off his shoes and sits beside Funneh. After moments of silence, he couldn't avoid to not comment, "I won't lie to you... I know he's just not right for you."
   Funneh looks like she's mad at the world. Soon, her face changed shape. She looks sad. "I still like him, Evan..." she admitted.
   Hearing those words pains Evan. Just as Alec does, he likes her. But despite of what happened, it looks like someone else is winning the race. "I know I can treat you better than he can," he said in his mind. "A girl like you deserves a gentleman, Funneh..."

   "Why are we wasting time? Funneh is wasting her time crying," Evan told Gold and Kyran. Desperate to bring back the old Funneh who is all extraverted and happy. "I know I can treat her better... Better than Alec can."
   Gold's head is filled with thoughts. She likes Alec for Funneh. Liked. Because he's the one that her sister likes. But after what happened, Evan has a point. He can treat Funneh better than Alec did.

   "You like this place, Funneh?" Evan asked. He managed to make Funneh agree to go outside to have some fresh air. Also hoping that even just for a bit, she'll get distracted and be a little happy.
   "Yeah, I guess..." Funneh answered. Still looking like a sick person who just came out from the hospital.
   "..."
   "Hey, Evan... You know, I like you."
   Evan's cheeks were turning red. If this is just a dream, he doesn't want to wake up anymore. Is this going to be the start of their love story?
   "Thank you for being my friend." Funneh smiled at him.
   The joy spreading around Evan suddenly disappeared. At least she finally smiled where no drop of sadness can be seen.

   Evan is at his house, playing his guitar with no inspiration. "Why can't it just be me, Funneh? I promise I won't let you down... I know I can treat you better... than he can... And a girl like you deserves a gentleman."

   "W-what brings you here?" Alecasked. Evan decided to pay him a visit at the prison.
   "To inform you that Funneh haslost the spark in his life, "thanks" to you," Evan went straight to the point.
   "..."
   "I thought you were a goodman, dude," Evan continued. "Only if I knew? I should have tried harder, so itcould have been me who Funneh likes." He looks at Alec in the eye. "That way,Funneh wouldn't go through this." He didn't wait for Alec to reply and left hischair.
   "Evan, wait!" Alec exclaimedbefore Evan could leave.
   "...What?"
   "Take good care of Funneh forme, please."
   Evan rolled his eyes. He looksat Alec and crosses his arms. "Don't order me what to do. I'd still do that,even if you won't ask." Then he left.
