Funneh finds out that Alec works for Yandere 💔🔪

CHAPTER 10 - Choose

Evan goes towards Funneh with a sad face. He's still gloomy about the rejection yesterday. "You called?"
   "Well... I've come to fully decide that... Maybe I'll give you a chance?" Funneh said. She feels so awkward saying this. It's the first time someone has confessed their feelings for her, excluding Alec. "Like I've said, you're a nice guy, Evan. So it wouldn't be impossible that I may like you one day."
   "Funneh, thank you." Happiness entered Evan's heart. "You don't know how much this means to me-"
   "And..." Funneh interrupted. "There's a catch."
   "Catch?" Evan asked.
   "I've also decided that..."

After Evan Confessed, Yesterday Night...

   Gold and Draco entered the kitchen. To their surprise, Funneh is also there, sitting on her chair.    "Funneh!" Gold said.
   "Oh, hi," Funneh greeted.
   "Me and Draco just went here to get some midnight snack," Gold said as she sits on Draco's chair. "How about you? You seem to be thinking something deep right there."
   Funneh takes a deep breath. "Evan confessed to me... That he has feelings for me."
   "Finally," Gold couldn't avoid to comment. "That boy had already done it."
   "You knew?" Funneh asked.
   "He likes you ever since high school, Funneh."
   "..." Funneh now feels more bad. Evan likes her for this long. But she didn't even notice it.
   "So, what's your response?" Draco asked with crossed arms.
   "He's a good friend, so, I decided to be honest that I don't feel the same," Funneh answered truthfully. "So that I wouldn't make him expect anything."
   "..."
   "A-Alec... He's still somewhere here in my heart."
   "If I were you, just pick Evan," Draco said straight to the point. Seems like Alec broke his trust to the core. "Don't you feel bad for him? He done so much for you."
   "Draco!" Gold called him out. She doesn't like her younger brother's reason on why Funneh should pick Evan. "But she likes Alec, not Evan. Think about Funneh's-"
   "I am making this decision for Funneh," Draco said in a firm tone. "Alec? He never fails to disappoint me. Who know? Funneh maybe still cries to sleep because of him. Meanwhile Evan? He did nothing but try to make Funneh happy."
   Funneh stayed silent.
   "Well, the decision is really up to Funneh," Gold said. "All we can do is convince her pick which."
   "So, what you say, Funneh?" Draco asked.
   "..." Funneh thinks. "Lunar is right... I'll never be free until I won't forget and forgive."
   "..."
   Funneh sighs. "Maybe I'll give both Alec and Evan a chance? Then, we'll see who really prevails."
   "Really?" Draco hits his forehead with his palm. He thinks that this is such a stupid idea. "Seriously? Are you a masochist? Giving the guy who harmed you a second chance?"
   "Draco, give the guy a second chance!" Gold said as she looks at Draco with some irritation on her face. "We did nothing but give him hate for more than five years."

   Not long after, Funneh decided to reconnect with Alec again. Telling him that he's forgiven and has his chance back. It was a hard move for her. But she knows that this is the only way to be free from the scars of the past. At first, it was awkward. Especially if Alec and Evan visits Funneh at the same time by accident. But they soon managed to adapt.
   Despite of keeping this as a "friendly competition" or a healthy fight, there are times where things get intense. Even if Funneh haven't choose yet, there are times that both boys gets jealous if she spends time with the other.

   "Choose," Evan said. "I'm just saying, what you wanna do?"
   "Choose," Alec also said. "I just dropped down in your city to...-"
   "Choose. Let me put you onto something new."
   "Choose. Ain't no telling what we get into."
   Funneh looks both at her admirers. Alec and Evan saying something to help her choose him just makes things more complicated. She's honestly so confused inside. Who should she choose? She can't just pick without deeply thinking about this. Either way, one heart will go home broken. And this isn't just a test, where you can erase your answer when you figure out that what you've pick is the wrong one.

   Evan became her best friend. And for years, they remained close. Like what Draco said, he did nothing but did things to make her happy. And he never harmed her in a way. He was the one who she's with during her lows. He might not be the one she likes, but she can learn to.
   Alec is her first love. Until now, he's the one who owns her heart. And like what people say, "First Love NEVER Dies." Yes, he may have harmed her. But he didn't mean to do it and already has pay for it for seven years. And people say, "Everyone Deserves a Second Chance."
