Fae's Painted Secrets

Chapter 22

Morning found you waking up tucked tightly between two bodies. You let yourself lay comfortably while thinking about the previous days events. You took note how the weight that usually sat on your chest seemed to feel a little lighter this morning. Not wanting to poke at it too closely you just accepted it and nuzzled your face into Tae's neck prompting him to tighten his hold on you. You felt so peaceful that you didn't want to move.

The serenity was broken by a buzzing noise from your nightstand. Grumbling you buried further into the bed between Tae and Kook not wanting to be disturbed. When it stopped you sighed happily until it started up again. "Kill it" you grumbled making Kook start shaking behind you with laughter. "Someone isn't a morning person huh?" he rasped out with his voice still thick with sleep. You shook your head "not when I'm enjoying the best nights sleep I've had in years" you grumbled in reply.

Tae shifted and grabbed the constantly vibrating phone and looked at it with a groan. "It's Hobi. We forgot to tell them we were staying the night" he mumbled while answering the phone and bringing it to his ear. "Yes Hyung" his deep voice murmured out. You couldn't hear the other side of the conversation but only Tae's responses of yes, sorry, mmhmm, okay, please, thank you. "Yes and we'll talk about it later. I promise" he finally said. He hummed again "okay we'll see you guys then" he said and hung up the phone and tossed it back onto the nightstand and turned to wrap his arms around you again.

"How much trouble are we in?" Kook asked while snuggling in tighter to you. "To be determined" Tae drawled out. "And when are they coming over?" you asked from your warm cocoon made of their bodies. "2 hours" he mumbled. You sighed heavily and groaned. "That means getting up now. I need to get dressed" you grumbled. Just then both yours and Kook's stomachs made themselves known. "And apparently food too" you laughed while Kook buried his face in your neck in embarrassment.

Tae merely whined and held you tighter "but snuggles!" he whined out tightening his grip further. You started wiggling your way out of the bed "come on grumpy, lets get the bunny fed and then we can snuggle on the couch" you offered once you were free. Tae huffed and flung himself onto his back with a large pout. "Rude! JK why can't you keep a better leash on your stomach?" he whined to the younger man who just simply shrugged at him "I'm a growing boy Hyung" was his response making you giggle.

Turning to your closet you dug around and pulled out some grey capris and a black loose racer back tank top that had some paint splatters on it already. Turning to the guys you shot them an apologetic smile "I don't have any clothes that will fit you I'm sorry" you said ending with a pout. Tae waved it off "Hobi is bringing us a change of clothes when they get here so it nothing to worry over" he told you. You nodded and went into your bathroom closing the door behind you.

You made quick work of changing and running through your morning routine before exiting the bathroom to find your bed made and the other 2 missing. Scrunching your face in confusion you made your way out of the bedroom and down the hall into the living room where you could see over into the kitchen where Tae and Kook were standing in front of your coffee pot with Yoongi's voice coming out of a phone on speakerphone. "Alright so once you've finished adding the water you just place the pot back in it's original spot and close the lid and press start" you heard Yoongi's voice instruct over the phone. You quickly placed your hand over your mouth to silence the loud awe that threatened to come out. "Thanks Hyung! You're a lifesaver!" Kook chirped looking proud of himself when the coffeepot started to brew. "Yeah, yeah I know" he responded before ending the call.

You quietly backed up into the hallway and took a breath before calling out to Tae and Kook and walked into the living room as if you had been looking for them. They both turned and looked at you like children who had been caught sneaking cookies. "Fae! We thought you'd be a little longer, we were just getting the coffee going for you" Tae said with a grin. You shook your head and moved into the kitchen. "Nope, doesn't take me too long unless I'm showering. But you guys helped me with that last night" you said with a shy smile and moved to fill the tea kettle with water and get it heating.
