Amnesia

chapter 5: Talia

"Isaac, are you alright?" Grace asked me. Her face was hovering above mine and her big red curls were tickling the sides of my face. "Yes Grace, I'm fine. Now go brush your teeth, your breath stinks." She rolled her eyes at me and got up. "Is everyone okay?" I asked Thomas. "Yes, everyone seems to be fine."Thomas! Thomas!" Gabe was running toward us. "Gabe, What's wrong?" Thomas asked. "I think you might want to see this."

Gabe brought us to the back of the house, the others were standing in a circle. Thomas pushed through them and told them to back off. There was a girl sitting on the ground, she wasn't paying attention to the crowd around her. There were sticks and stones floating around her, it looked like she was moving them with her index finger. She looks oddly familiar, the way she moved, her black curly hair and those big green eyes. "Thomas, what is she doing and how?" I asked. "I don't know." Thomas walked toward the girl, very slowly. She moved her finger and one of the stones slammed into Thomas's stomach. "Don't come any closer, Thomas." The girl said, she sounded very young. "How do you know my name?" Thomas asked. "Because I know you." The girl said, still playing with the stones. "How do you know me?"

"You're a friend of my brother." Her voice was very calm. "Who is your brother?"
"Isaac."

Everyone started whispering, Thomas looked at me with a confused face. I walked to Thomas and looked at the girl. "There you are." The girl got up and let her arms fall beside her, the sticks and stones fell to the ground. She walked up to me and hugged me, her touch trew me into a flashback.

There were pictures of her and me, when we were little. We were playing together, moving things around together. Than a picture of two men pulling us away from each other, they looked like doctors. And than I heard her name. Talia.

"Talia?" I asked her "You remember me." Talia said. I hugged her back, I had a little sister. "How did you get here?" I asked her. "They dropped me here." "Who is they?" I let her go. "The doctors." "Wh-"Before I could finish my question, Thomas interrupted me. "First tell us how you did that weird thing with the sticks and stones." Thomas demanded. "Oh you don't know? So they did erase your whole memory." Talia said. "well, this is probably going to sound weird. The thing I just did is called telekinesis and Isaac can do it too. It means we can move objects with our brain. " "I can do what?" I asked. "Telekinesis, see my touch triggered your brain to remember me, it should have done the same with your powers." Talia explained. The crowd started whispering again. "Let the girl talk." Thomas said and everyone went silent again. "Thank you Thomas, what I tried to explain earlier was that the doctors brought all of us here. Before we got here we were locked up in a mental hospital. We were different, people saw us as a threat. They started doing experiments with us, they figured out that we are much stronger than the average human. We can survive in the most weird surroundings, people were jealous of that. They tried to multiply our powers by taking our dna or brains and put it in the bodies of normal humans. Many of us have died, because of the experiments. Were we are now is also an experiment, but I don't know what they are testing." Talia explained. "Different, what do you mean with different?" Thomas asked. "We all have powers, some have telekinesis or teleportation, even invisibility. Because your memory was erased, you have to trigger it. You can trigger it by a touch, it can be anything a hair, a raindrop or the touch of a relative." Talia said "Talia,how do you know that?" I asked. "They didn't erase my memory, but I don't know why." "Like you said you triggered a piece of my memory and my powers. Does that mean I can move thing with my brain too?"I asked. "Yes you can, but I'll have to teach you. Because your memory was erased, the control over your powers were erased as well. It will be hard for everyone of you to control your powers, when you have triggerd it." Talia said. "I'm sorry Talia, but it's hard to believe."Thomas said. "It is? Well what about this." Talia moved her index finger and moved a stone up into the air. She threw the stone at me, I held my hand up and the stone stopped, floating in mid air.
