Amnesia

chapter 8: under attack

I sat outside with Talia, everyone else was still sleeping. "So, do you like Gabe?" I asked her. "Yes I like him, everyone likes him he is a very funny guy." Talia said, I chuckled. "I mean, do you like him, like really like him?" I asked. "Maybe, why?" "How you danced with him and laughed at him, the look in your eyes." I said. She smiled at me, she got up and kissed my cheek. "You're sweet." Talia said and she walked back inside.

I sat outside for probably another 30 minutes, when Thomas and Beam walked out of the house. "Goodmorning, what are you guys going to do?" I asked. "We are going to get some water." Beam said, now I noticed they were holding hands. "Oh, sure." I said in my most sarcastic voice, Thomas blushed and Beam grinned. They walked away, I got up and walked back into the house.

Inside I found Talia sitting at the dining table, she was playing with the forks and spoons. I sat down next to her and moved a couple of the floating spoons into the living room. "Oh my God! Floating spoons!" We heard Gabe scream and laughed. "Dammit, Isaac and Talia!" Gabe shot the spoons out of the air and they made a loud noise when they hit the ground. Grace came out of the girls bedroom, when Gabe threw one of his pink gloves at me. "What the- Gabe what are you doing?" Grace asked. "They scared me with there stupid floating spoons." Gabe said. "Oh, come on guys. No powers inside, not this early in the morning." Grace yawned. She took a spoon out of the air and grabbed a bowl of cereal. "Can you put everything back?" She asked with her mouth full of milk and cereal. Talia moved her hands and opened a drawer, she put all forks and spoons back in place.

I went training with Talia and Gabe. I went to pee for 2 minutes and when I came back Gabe had put a tree on fire, again. "Gabe, really? Again?" I asked. "I'm sorry, it was an accident." He said. Talia ran to the tree with a bucket and put the fire out. "Gabe you really need to be more careful, you could hurt somebody." Talia said. "I am sorry." Gabe said. "And put on your gloves again." Talia added, Gabe put them on. "We are out of water now, Isaac could you fill the bucket?" Talia asked me.

The well was a 3 minute walk from the house. When I got there Thomas and Beam were still there, on top of each other without shirts. Thomas was right Beam has an incredible good body a- wait what? I will just ignore my thoughts for a moment. "Hello guys, I will just get some water and I will be out of here." I said. Thomas got up immediately and put on his shirt. "Hi Isaac." Thomas said, his face was red. I filled the bucket with water and walked back to Gabe and Talia.

Before I got back I heard a scream, it sounded like Grace. I started running towards the house and saw that the most people of the group were surrounded by Daggers and Howlers. I sneaked past them to get Gabe and Talia. "Guys we have to go back to the house, there is a group of Daggers and Howlers." I whispered. "what, how? It's only 3 pm." Gabe said. "We have to help them." Talia said. "Okay, we will follow the side of the dome, than Gabe and I will go trough the back door and Talia, you will get Thomas and Beam at the well. Talia after you've done that, come meet us in the living room." I said, they both nodded and we started our plan.

"Oh my God, there are like a dozen Daggers and Howlers outside. Do you see Talia yet?" Gabe asked while he looked out of the window. "No, just trees. Wait, I see them." I saw Talia, Thomas and Beam running towards the house. "Is everyone alright?" Thomas asked. "It lookes like everyone is okay, for now." Gabe said, still looking out of the window. "Okay, I got an idea. Water with electricity is deadly, right?" Beam said, I nodded. "If Isaac and Talia sneak to the sides of the house and take buckets of water with them, they can let it float and than throw it over the Daggers and Howlers, Gabe can electrocute them and than they get fried." Beam explained. "Good idea, but how do I electrocute them?" Gabe asked. "Talia and Isaac will go through the back door, you will leave your gloves here and go through the front door with us." Beam pointed at Thomas and himself. "Okay let's do it." Thomas opened the cupboard, he handed a couple of throwing knifes to me and Talia, he gave Beam 2 daggers and chose a machete for himself. "I didn't know we had weapons." I said. "We found them in the cupboard a year ago, probably for occasions like this." Thomas said. "Why can't I have a knife?" Gabe asked. "Because you have deadly powers coming from your hands and you can't even hold a spoon with 2 of your fingers missing." Thomas remined him "you're right." Gabe threw his gloves on the table.

I stood outside with a bucket of water, trying to concentrate on it. I got the bucket in the air, I saw that Talia was ready. Our buckets were floating above the monsters, water already dripping on them and didn't even noticed. They may be big, deadly and scary, but they are pretty stupid. Now I have to wait for signal, that will tell us when we have to throw the buckets. "Now!" I heard Thomas yell. Talia and I emptied our buckets above the monsters and Gabe hit them with his electricity. Most of the monsters fell dead on the ground, but we missed a Dagger and 2 Howlers. I threw my knifes and they hit one of the Howlers in the head, Talia hit it in his neck and he fell dead on the ground. Thomas and Beam had killed the other Howler, Gabe focused on the Dagger. Gabe shot lightning bolts at it, but the Dagger dodged them all. It knocked Gabe down and tried to stab him with one of his legs, but Gabe rolled away from it. He got up and put his hands onto its ugly face, electricity wriggled from Gabe's hands onto the Dagger. The electricity now came from his whole body, Gabe slowly pushed the Dagger away from the group. But than the electricity shot back into Gabe's body and they both fell on the ground, the Dagger was dead and Gabe's chest was still moving.

Gabe openend his eyes and sat up, he looked at Talia who was holding his hand. "Are you okay?" He asked her. She didn't answer, but hugged him, he hugged her back. "Never do that again." She said into his neck. "Do what again?" He asked, she hold his face with both hands. "Put yourself in danger like that." She said. "I was just trying to protect you." He said. "I know." And than Talia kissed him, Gabe looked at first very suprised, but than he kissed her back and put his hands onto her waist. Everybody started cheering and laughing. Gabe and Talia got up, their faces red.

Later I sat against a tree with Gabe. "So what happend? Why did you pass out?" I asked him. "I don't know, it probably took too much energy. I am going to get some food." He said. "Oh one more thing." I said. "Yes?" He asked. "If you break my sister's heart, I will break your neck." I said with a smile. "Yes, sir." Gabe laughed and he walked inside.
