Amnesia

chapter 6: electricity

Gabe was very excited about the whole power having thing. Me? Not so much, it scares me. This was a weird day, first the howlers and than Talia. Which reminds me, I have to ask her if she saw them. I asked Thomas were she was, he told me Grace and Gabe were showing her the dome.

The closest side was only 3 minutes walking, I could hear Gabe's enthusiasm before I even saw them. When I got to them Grace was explaining, that you should never touch the dome. Gabe was touching every object around, probably hoping to trigger a flashback and his power. "Hi, Isaac!" Gabe said. "Hi guys, I just wanted to ask talia something." I said. "Yes Isaac?" Talia asked. "When the doctors dropped you, did you see the Howlers?" I asked. "The Howlers? Oh yeah, the mutant wolfs. No, I didn't see them." Talia said. "Isaac, I shouldn't think too much about. They were probably just there, so we would faint and they could drop Talia." Grace said. "Yes, I guess so."

Gabe was running around like a 5 year old, the boy has too much energy and tripped over a tree stump. He was very close to the dome, he was probably going to fall against it. "Gabe!" I cried out, trying to catch his wrist. But it was to late he fell against the electric dome and I closed my eyes, before I could see him get electrocuted. I kept my eyes shut to wait for the sound of a loud horrifying scream, but it didn't come. I opened my eyes and Gabe was on the ground, his chest was moving up and down very fast. His eyes moving fast under his eyelids, he was having a flashback.

He opened his eyes and looked around dizzily. "What happend?" He asked. "Gabe! Are you alright?" Talia ran towards him. "Talia wait! Don't touch him!" Grace yelled. "Why not?" Talia asked. "The dome, Gabe is touching it. If you touch him, the electricity could go through you and kill you."Grace explained. "Okay, I won't touch him. Gabe, are you alright?" Talia asked again. "Yes I think so, I had a flashback." Gabe said while rubbing his head, he went on. "There was a lot of lightning and faces. I couldn't see much, it was very blurry." "Can you stand up?" I asked. "I can try." Gabe said. He stood up, he staggered a bit and grabbed a branch. There was a bright flash and the crackling sound of electricity shot through my ears like a knife. The tree Gabe had grabbed was now on fire and there were little lightning bolts running over Gabe's hands. He looked at his hands, his face first full of shock, but than a smile replaced it. "That was awesome!" Gabe laughed. "Gabe how did you do that?" I asked. "I have no idea, but it was freaking amazing." Gabe said. "I think the touch of the dome not only triggerd a flashback, but also your power." Talia said. "So my power is electricity coming from my hands? Nice and I am immune for the dome." Gabe said, electricity still wriggled around his hands. "Can you turn it off or something? I don't want to end up like that tree did." I said. "I don't know." Gabe shaked his hands, nothing happend, he put his hands together and sparks of electricity exploded from his hands. "Well not like that." I said, covering my face with my hands. "Sorry" Gabe said. "Concentrate on your hands and your power, that is how I learned to control my powers." Talia said. Gabe nodded, he closed his eyes and folded his hands into fists.  The electricity around his hands wriggled to his fingertips and than disappeard. "Good job, I think we better head back to Thomas and tell him." Talia said.
