Kuvira sat alone in bed looking out the window. It had been weeks since the incident at your wedding. But she had not yet recovered. Not from any bodily harm no she was in perfect health. But her heart. Her heart was broken emotionally and it was pain worse than being stabbed.
Your ring in her hand she was on the verge of tears. As the memory of everything that happened went through her head. "It's all my fault" Kuvira whispered to herself "This is my punishment." She gripped the linen sheets.
Her knuckles turn white. She laid down in bed and began to sob once more.
She hadn't the bed in weeks and the only time she'd get out of the bed was to use the bathroom. She had not bathed eaten or drunk any water in that entire time. And she was starting to feel weak and limp.
But she didn't care if it meant she could be reunited with you in the afterlife she did not care. Which made zero sense because you were not dead. Yet.
You were in the hospital. But terminally Ill. And the doctors suspected you only had a year to live before your body gave out to the poison.
A poison that Kuvira believed was for her to eat. She was the one that was supposed to be fighting for her life Not you. But it seemed that the fates has decided to spare her. No torture her. After all, you were more important to Kuvira than the entire Earth empire.
Some would say she conquered the entire Earth nation to give it to you as a present. That was how much she cared for you. And now she was going to lose you.
"Kuvira how long have you been in this room." Looking up from the ring in her hand Baatar stood in the doorway dressed in his military uniform. Kuvira sighed.
When you were admitted to the hospital Kuvira put Baatar In charge because the only thing she felt like doing was crying into her pillow. Until death came and took her.
"Leave me alone," Kuvira muttered under the covers of the sheets
"Look at yourself. Have you ever left this bed once?" Baatar walked around the room picking up the pieces of Kuvira's wedding uniform from the floor.
"you could have at least put your suit in the dirty clothes bin."
Kuvira felt her anger boiling. She was mourning for the potential loss of her wife. And Baatar had the gall to scold her. "I thought I told you to leave me alone."
"Yeah, you did. But I refuse to let you live like this." Baatar tugged at the covers revealing kuviras pale and skinny body.
She wore only a tank top and her boxers and she looked horrible. "Why won't you just let me be." The words came out shaky. "Because that's not what y/n would want"
The words struck Kuvira to her core. She looked down at the ring in her finger her mind flashing her with thousand of sweet memories. "I'm not asking you to go outside and go to work. I just want you to take care of yourself. For y/n sake."
Baatar dropped the sheets. And left the room leaving Kuvira to her thoughts and she began to laugh. "Baatar is right." Rolling the ring around her finger Kuvira began to laugh "You would have cursed me out to hell and back if you saw me like this."
The sounds of dishes clanking grabbed her attention. Kuvira sighed as she got out of bed grabbing a jacket. Your jacket. sniffing the jacket she could smell your perfume. And it made her heart flutter
She put it on over her tank top. Opening the door she walked out of the room. And saw Baatar in the kitchen. Without a word, she sat on the bar stool. Baatar sighed it wasn't a judgmental sigh or an annoyed sigh. It was a happy sigh
