This story picks up right after Primfaya.
The storyline is the exact same, leaving Clarke to believe Lexa is dead.

"Lexa can we talk?" Clarke immediately says when she sees Lexa walk inside.
"Madi go tend to the fire. I will be out shortly." Lexa insists and Clarke exhales. She needs to speak to Lexa so badly.
"I am so sorry Lexa" Clarke says and Lexa looks down. "Please look at me. I love you." Clarke pleads and Lexa shakes her head.
She feels no sort of emotion other than anger in this moment.
A few seconds of silence goes by before Clarke breaks it again, "Please Lexa I don't expect you to understand. I didn't think I had any other choice... I'm sorry." Clarke says reaching for Lexa's hand in which Lexa pulls away as fast as she possibly could showing her no sort of comfort.
"No I do not understand how you felt it was okay to endanger Madi. You left her to die. You left me.." Lexa replies angrily, causing Clarke to take a step back.
"Lexa we all would have been killed!" Clarke defends. "Please just understand where I'm coming from."
"It is impossible to understand!" Lexa finally breaks, using her hands to show how angry she is. She has never yelled this loudly at Clarke before.
"I had to save our people.." Clarke's voice cracks and Lexa continues to glare at her in anger.
"You are just like them. You're worse! You're heartless! You don't have feelings!" Lexa screams staring deep into Clarke's eyes.
She meant every word in the moment. Clarke's actions showed her just how much she valued the life they had built together.
Clarke shakes her head holding back her tears. She inhales, "I never wanted any of this."
Clarke cries and Lexa looks at her with little to no emotions.

Lexa tries her hardest to stand strong, "I do not feel sorry for you Clarke. You inflicted pain on not only me but Madi as well."
Clarke understands what she's done and she has never been more sorry in her life.
"Please don't leave me Lexa I need you."
"Madi is my responsibility. I do what's best for the people I love." Lexa states and Clarke looks at her, her eyes pleading for Lexa to give in.
Lexa would have understood back then but the person she has become took this betrayal personal.
She felt it break her heart in half. It reminded her why she shouldn't have allowed herself to fall in love with her. Easier said then done though, it was impossible not to fall for Clarke.
"You got your people back. Now go to them."
Clarke shakes her head quickly, "I don't want them I want you. I love you Lexa, I love you and Madi more than anyone. You are my people." She cries more.
