Harry had rushed down with Dumbledore and McGonagall to the hospital ward where they discovered Y/n lying in a bed as Madam Pomfrey watched Professor Snape waving his wand slowly over Y/n who lay unconscious.

"Severus?" Dumbledore called his name in an inquiring way.

"I'm sorry Headmaster but I had to call for him, some the injuries are beyond what I can mend." Madam Pomfrey told him.

"I have managed to reverse any serious damage Grindelwald may have inflicted upon himself..." Snape said.

"Thank you Severus." Dumbledore said.

"If I might Headmaster..." Snape began. "Several scars that I had to remove were of a...dark nature."

"Surely not another attack?" McGonagall asked concerned.

"I do not believe so." Snape replied.

"Are you suggesting Severus, that young Grindelwald has been practicing the dark arts?" Dumbledore asked him.

"I am Headmaster." Snape confirmed.

"What on earth could persuade the boy to seek out the dark arts?" McGonagall was quick to ask.

"My Grandmother..." Y/n said signaling he was awake and the three professors heads turned to look at him.

"I highly doubt Frieda Grindelwald would have ever encouraged you to pursue dark magic, you foolish boy..." McGonagall said still in disbelief that Y/n had done such a stupid thing.

"She did not..." Y/n said looking down at the bed covers unable to face them. "Her death is what made me."

"Severus, Poppy, thank you for your work, you may return. Minerva, if I could ask you escort Harry back to his common room." Dumbledore instructed.

"Yes Headmaster, Come Along Potter." McGonagall said.

"But Sir..." Harry began.

"Come along Potter." McGonagall ordered him. "The Headmaster wishes to speak to Grindelwald, alone."

Harry did not want to leave but Dumbledore and McGonagall were giving him no choice.

"Go Harry, do as they say." Y/n told him. "And tell Hermione...Tell her, I am sorry..."

Harry looked conflicted but did as Y/n asked as he finally left with McGonagall and Snape following behind them. Y/n and Dumbledore were all alone now.

"Are you going to expel me professor?" Y/n quietly asked.

"You must understand Y/n, how this might look to others. You have been caught practicing dark magic and were present at the scene where Miss Bell was afflicted by Dark Magic. This makes you a prime suspect."

"I know sir..." Y/n said.

"Am I correct Grindelwald, in assuming that it was you who stole our recently missing books from the restricted section?" Dumbledore asked him.

Y/n just nodded. "Yes sir...I borrowed the cloak from Harry and entered the Library after closing hours."

"And where are the books now?" Dumbledore asked.

"In my bag sir, no one else knows I have them." Y/n replied. "Hermione, Harry and Ron did not have anything to do with this sir, so please, do not punish them for my failings..." Y/n then asked.

Dumbledore sighed as he looked down at Y/n sitting up in the hospital bed looking regretful. "You have always shown a deep dislike for the dark arts Y/n, why now do you choose to delve into them?"
