Technoblade was not dumb.

He knew that things would be a bit awkward with his younger brother.

It would take a little while to get used to them being all together again.

It's fine, he expected this.

What he didn't expect thought, was the way Tommy reacted when he saw them at the airport, when Wilbur tried to hug him, when they tried to make small talk.

Tommy just looked so uncomfortable.

I mean yeah, they hadn't really talked to Tommy that much the last couple of years, but it hadn't been that long.

Right?

It's probably because of puberty and hormones.

Tommy is like what? 15? Maybe 16 now?

That's why he's acting like this.

It has to be.

Tommy's almost 18

2 AM.

It was 2 AM and Phil had not returned yet.

Neither had Tommy but no one noticed.

“Should we try calling Dad? He's been gone for hours, I'm kinda starting to worry.” Wilbur asked.

“I mean, he did say it was an emergency. He's probably just too caught up with work. You know Dad, he wouldn't leave if it wasn't really important. I'm sure he'll be back soon.” Technoblade replied.

“Yeah okay, I guess you're right, anyways I'm gonna go to sleep now, I'll see you tomorrow, goodnight!” Wilbur said, getting up and heading towards the stairs.

“Alright goodnight.” Techno said.

He wasn't that tired anymore, so he decided to continue watching TV on the couch.

It was 3 AM when Techno heard someone unlock the door.

Oh that had to be Dad, he finally came back from work!

The door opened.

Oh.

It was Tommy.

Oh right!

Tommy had gone out with his friends earlier.

Techno had completely forgotten about it.

They made eye contact.

Tommy seemed surprised to see him.

Neither of them knew what to say.

Techno awkwardly nodded at him, as Tommy headed towards the stairs.

“Oh wait Toms!” Techno said, stopping Tommy in his tracks.

Tommy turned and looked at him.

"What time does Dad usually get back from work? He's been gone for a while now.”

Tommy scoffed.

“Yeah, good luck figuring that out! He's probably going to be gone for two weeks, I wouldn't wait for him if I were you.” Tommy replied casually and headed for his bedroom.

Wait what?

Two weeks?

Was Tommy joking?

He seemed pretty serious.
