A/N: Sorry about the wait ya'll. Hope you enjoy! If you don't well, eh whatever.

"So, how did you get back?" Chloe turned to face Lucifer. They were sitting in her car outside of the address Connor had provided.

Lucifer shrugged. "Amenediel suggested I just pop out my wings and fly back."

"So, it worked," she deadpanned.

"Obviously." He threw his hands in the air.

"You got your wings back?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Apparently," He huffed. "I'm grateful I'm back, I am."

"But?"

"I just don't understand. Why now? How long have I even had them for? Had I even lost them to begin with? Only Dad knows, I suppose"

"Lucifer." Once he looked at her she continued. "Just don't overthink it."

He smirked. "I suppose you're right," he said, whilst gazing out the window. After another few minutes he chuckled softly. "So do you believe me when I say your partner is a moron?"

Chloe didn't match his humor. She frowned, a look of stress emerging.

"Detective?" he frowned. "What's wrong?"

"I- I was scared you know."

"What for?" He reached his hand across the center console, brushing her knuckles with his fingertips.

She swallowed, tears pickling her eyes. "What if he had hit you in the chest?"

"Chloe." He laced his fingers with her's. "I'm okay, and I'm not going anywhere. Please, don't torture yourself like this. I'm not that easy to kill.

She met his gentle eyes, searching for any hint of doubt. All she saw was determination. "Okay," She breathed.

He leaned into her space, taking her chin in his free hand as he brushed his lips against hers.

Three sharp raps on the driver's side window caused them to jump apart. People definitely knew Chloe was pregnant with Lucifer's child, but she didn't like to flaunt their relationship at work. Lucifer was fairly respectful of that, and followed suit as he gave her hand one last squeeze and let go, leaning back in his seat.

Chloe took a shaky breath as she rolled down the window. Chris had evidently found out that they had gone on the stakeout without him. She scrunched her eyebrows when she was met with a panicked look. "What's wrong?"

"Connor, he set us up." His voice came out a tad shaky, but he did his best to keep his tone level.

"What do you mean?" She shifted in her seat to face him better. "How did you find us?"

"I knew you were going to be here. Plus, your car has a GPS." He shook his head. "John, he came in. Said he was Connor's lawyer. Had legit looking credentials. Officer Jenson processed him. They both have the precinct under lockdown."

"And how did you get out, then?" Lucifer interjected.

"I was leaving to find you guys when he came in. I got half way here and realized I forgot my badge." He rolled his eyes, this was typical of him. "So I went back, and when I got to the door I felt like something was off. It looked quiet in there. I noticed Connor walking through the hall, scoping the place, with a gun. He must have taken it from an officer. The doors are locked."
"No one gets in and no one gets out..." Chloe's voice was hollow. Dan was still in there. Ella. Some of the Officers on duty today had families, kids. Her heart sank. "We have to do something."
