"I'll text you when I land" he whispers. I nod "please do" I whisper back. He kisses me deeply "be safe while I'm gone" he says. I nod "I will" I reply. He rests his forehead against mine for a few seconds before going.

I stand with the players girlfriends and wives as matthew walks off to the bus. "So you're not together?" Jessica, Sam's girlfriend asks me. "Nope" I answer and look down at my feet.

She smiles "you like him don't you?" She asks. I lift my head "yeahhh like it doesn't feel like just sex now" I answer. "Awwww" she gushes. "I think he likes you too, he looks at you like you're everything he's ever wanted" she adds.

Oh. My face heats up and I blush "he does?" I ask. She sighs and pulls her phone out "I took this after the last game" she says showing me a photo.

Matthew in his suit, and me wearing a blank Panthers Jersey with Jean's and heels. He's looking down at me with a smile while I'm oblivious. This isn't the first time this has happened. "Oh" I whisper smiling.

"You should tell him" she says. "I'm thinking about it I just don't wanna go back to hating him if it doesn't work out" I reply with a sigh. "I'm sure it will" she says.

While she gives me advice we walk over to our cars. "Wanna get lunch and go shopping before the game tomorrow?" She asks. "Yeah sure! That sounds fun" I answer. "Great invite whoever if you want" she says.

Awesome I can invite madeline, Olivia and ava. Penelope is in New York so I don't bother texting her when I text the others.

Once I'm home I change into work out gear and go over to the gym. I work on my legs and do some cardio for a few hours before going back up to my place then my phone buzzes.

I get back up to my place and have a quick shower before changing. Since I'm not busy today I put on shorts and one of matthews shirts that still smells like him. "I think I'm in love with him" i say to myself.

Madeline

I'm bored, can I come over and we do nothing?

Please! You bring wine and I'll get pizza delivered

About half an hour later she's here and so is the pizza so we just start eating, drinking and talking. "So what's going on with you and matthew?" She asks. "Uh I'm not sure, he uh he called me baby last night when we were having sex" I answer.
