Mid-August

"How many should we get?" I ask staring at the diapers. "We've got a few boxes at home, so just a few more?" He suggests. I nod in agreement "yeah we've got double the amount of diapers" I reply.

He grabs a few boxes and puts them in the cart "yeah let's stock up" he says putting a couple more on the bottom. I giggle "good thing we've got a big house" I joke. He stands behind me and rests his hand on my back "it's perfect for my girls" he whispers.

I smile and look up at him "5 more weeks" I smile. "I'm so excited" he says excitedly. "Me too I look like a whale" I say rubbing the bump. "You do not, you look stunning" he says. I look down at my outfit, overalls and a tank top with flip flops since my feet got too swollen for my slides.

"Thank you" I say blushing. He kisses the side of my head as we continue walking around the grocery store getting last minute things for the baby shower. My phone starts ringing so I answer it "hey sweetie we landed" my mom says. "Oh okay uh brady is picking you guys up, should be the tall guy" I reply.

She laughs "okay I think your dad has spotted him" she says. I giggle "okay, I'll see you in a bit" I reply before we hangup. We finish getting everything then go home.

Taryn and chantel decorating the house and the outside area is set up. Keith outside with the barbecue heating up. "I'll take the burgers and hot dogs outside" matthew says. "Ok I'll put the other stuff away" I reply. "Nope sweetie sit down I've got this" chantel says.

I listen and sit down since I do feel winded. "Thank you" I reply. I watch them get everything ready while I feel the twins moving around then Matthew comes in "the guys are gonna be here soon" he says happily.

His teammates are coming over with their wives or girlfriends and kids so this should be fun. "Isn't she beautiful mom?" Matthew asks his mom pointing at me. "Radiant" chantel says smiling. I look at myself.

"I should probably change before everyone gets here" I say. Matthew helps me stand up and I woddle up the stairs one at a time before going and changing into a cute maturnity summer dress I found. It's water coloured pink and blue so nothing is given away.

While I'm changing I hear the front door open "babe you're families here!" Matthew tells me. "Okay I'm almost ready!" I shout back adjusting the dress. Then I woddle into the bathroom to check my hair.

Foot steps are heard while I'm brushing my hair and then they stop. "Arent you gorgeous" my mom says. I look at her through the mirror "hi mama" I reply. "I can't believe my baby's having babies" she says coming over. "Yeah I can't either but I'm so happy" I say making sure my hairs perfect.

She smiles "I can tell" she says. We go downstairs and my sister and taryn are talking, our dads aren't anywhere to be found and Matthew's waiting at the bottom of the stairs. "My girl" he whispers looking me up and down.

My face heats up and I hug him "my man" I reply looking up at him. He looks down at me and smiles "you look beautiful" he tells me. "Thank you handsome" I reply looking at him. I got him a half blue and half pink dress shirt and he loves it and looks good in it too.

The door bell goes "I'll get it" he says kissing my forehead before going over to the door. I woddle over as he opens it greeting Jessica and sam, eric, Marc and their wives, alec, bennet and his girlfriend and the rest of the team and their partners. "Welcome" I greet them.
