Today was your birthday. You never really did much on your birthdays but this year would be different.
Because the beautiful man you love has a surprise for the two of you.
The morning after your dinner last week he brought up your birthday that you had been trying to escape.
"I know you don't like to celebrate on your birthday but-" Robert said
"Baby I told you we didn't have to do anything" you say
" I know we don't have to, but I want to. I love you, you make me happy. The least I could do is show you how much you mean to me" he says
"You really don't-" before you finish he interrupts
"Ahaha- shhh just tell me you love me and thank you" he says smirking
"I love you Robert thank you" you say
"That's what I like to hear" he says smiling
"So what do you have planned?" You ask with anticipation
"Follow me here says" you follow him into your guys bedroom and stop in front of the closet "open it" he says
You open the closet to see a fully packed suitcase
"We're going on your dream vacation y/n" he screams with excitement "come on grab your stuff we leave in 2 hours" he says
In shock you grab your things and give him a kiss "thank you" you say smiling back at him.
"Of course anything for you y/n"
You get all your things packed in the taxi Robert called for you guys to go to the airport. Like usual you had some awkward small talk in the car about where you were going and the occasion. The cab driver even wished you a happy birthday.
You finally arrive at the airport and unload your bags from the car
"Hurry baby we are going to miss our flight" Robert says running
"I'm going as fast I can" you say chasing after him
You make it to TSA with little to no problems other than Robert forgetting to take his phone out of his pocket and people thinking he had a bomb or something. Regardless you made it and now you weee running to your gate. Your flight was leaving in 5 minutes.
After the surreal week you've had running through that airport to catch your flight felt like a movie moment. Being with Robert felt like a movie moment. Who would've thought you'd love a man that you once thought you hated so much. It's funny how life works that way. In fact it's beautiful you thought to yourself.
"Last call" you hear around the corner
You and Robert run. Boarding passes in hand and make if to the gate
"Sorry, traffic" Robert says
The worker smiles and scans our passes.
We sat first class it was nice. As long as you don't think about the fact that it's the most dangerous area of the plane to sit in during a crash.
Lucky after what felt like days. You landed. Plane crash evaded.
After what felt like far too long at the airport you finally made it to baggage claim. Robert grabbed the bags as you made your way out of the airport.
The sun was shining and it was more beautiful than you could have ever imagined. You thought what did I do to deserve this.
After a long trip you wanted nothing more than to head to the hotel for a nice long nap, and that's exactly what you did.
