(Jake POV)

The horde of people with cameras and all were at our window... looked like news crews, and and a whole lot of people begging for signatures.

I banged on the bathroom door

J- Hailey we gotta go!
H-why?!
J- just come look.

Hailey came out with her hair in a messy bun wearing plaid pants and a "Club President" shirt on

H- oh my god.
J- we're gonna need bodyguards here soon.
H- for sure.

We closed the curtains and ran out of the room, she ran down the hall across from ours to get Luke and Zander as I stood in the living room freaking out. The 3 of them came running and we all went upstairs to look at the crowd from above. There had to be at least 100 of them.

Z- I hate to say it, but we're gonna need bodyguards, and possibly the cops to get them out of here.
H- I guess so.
L- bummer that fame does this to us.
J- I'll call 911 before one manages to get in.

I pulled my phone out and called the cops to have some crowd control come in.

J- Hi
911- what's your emergency
J- this is Jake Sterling, so we sorta have a crowd issue at our Air BnB can we get some crowd control?
911- wait like Hailey Austin's Boyfriend, Jake Sterling?
J- Yes, can we please just get them out of here before there is damage done?
911- alright we're tracking your location stay on the phone a team will be there shortly.
J- thank you.

I put the phone on speaker and went and stood back with our group.

H- I can't believe they haven't seen us up here yet.
J- the cops are on the way.
Z- If one gets in before they get here what do we do?
L- hide, that's the best we can do.
H- exactly they're just fans.
Z- more like psycho fans!

The sound of police sirens started in the distance and I heard them get closer

? (on megaphone)- everyone clear the area, this is private property. Anyone left can face charges.

Hailey grabbed my arm, I could tell she was hoping they all left, she was afraid of her reputation. If it went downhill, she'd follow it.

J- it's gonna be ok Hailey I promise.
H- mhm...

There was a knock on the door, so me and Luke went to get it, I picked up a metal mini shovel from next to the fireplace just in case.

I opened the door slowly shovel in hand.

Cop- well that's one way to defend yourselves boys.
J- oh thank god.
Cop- alright we cleared the area for now, how did this even happen anyways?
L- we must have gotten followed here somehow.
Cop- well that is pretty normal when you're famous, you guys are lucky none of them got in.
J- yeah really lucky.

Hailey and Zander came downstairs and we all sat on the couch with the cop.

Cop- you guys know you're going to need to invest in body guards after this, right?
H- yes, we already know.
J- that's going to be the first call made in the morning
Cop- alright, well you guys get some rest. Happy New Year!!
H- happy new year to you too sir!

He tipped his hat at us and left. Zander immediately got up and locked every single lock on the door and went to close all of the curtains.

L- hopefully we can get back to Rosemeadow safely.
H- hopefully.
J- should we all move to the rooms upstairs? Just in case they get in?
Z- good idea for once.
J- yeah yeah, now let's bring everything up there.

We all went to grab our bags and headed upstairs, to the safest place we can be right now. We parted into the two different rooms.

H- of course we got sent to the bunk bed room.
J- Zander is a mastermind.
H- you can say that again.

Hailey took the top bunk and I immediately saw the light of her phone turn on, she was scrolling either BuzzFeed, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok searching up her name to see what those people outside had to say.

H- Well great. Now they're complaining about me not going out and interacting with them!
J- they invaded our private place they can't say anything, nobody was hurt!
H- I know. Now I feel bad..
J- don't. They are psycho.
H- I guess you're right.

She shut off her phone and climbed down the ladder, she squeezed herself  under the covers next to me and I held her from behind. I wasn't going to let anything bad happen to her. I wish there was a way to turn back time and make it so we never got famous, I think we both need it to be that way.
