Nina was walking to the playground in the park with her mom. It was only a short walk but for 5 1/2 year old Nina, it felt like forever. Once they got there, Nina played on the playground but she was lonely. A small boy, aboutte same age as her, walked up and started talking.
"Hi Im ricky and I can't find my daddy!" He cried.
"Oh no! Well you can stay with me if you want."
"Aright...What's your name"
"Nina."
"That sounds too formal. Im gonna call you Nini."
"Okay!" The sound of Nini's mom calling her for lunch brought her to her attention. She grabbed Ricky's hand and pulled him over to the table where her mom was sitting.
"Oh nina, Who is this, sweetheart?"
"Ricky! This is my mom."
"Nice to meet you Nini's mom."
"Aww! Just call me Dana. Nini...I like it! Where is your dad or mom?" They soon after heard a man calling hisname. It was ricky's dad, Mike.
"Buddy, I'm so glad your okay! Who are these people?"
"Nini and her mom." The parents greeted and Ricky and Nini played for a while. Little did everyone know, that this was the start of a life long friendship.
