Together till the end ~ a rini story

Chapter 3

It has been two weeks since the pair graduated and Nini is still hanging out with Jason which is making Ricky lose his mind. He has been bratty, mean to Jason, and distant. But he lost it when his best friend came up to him and told him that they were going on a date.

"A date!? Nini, I thought we had plans this weekend!"

"We did! I moved them to next weekend. I promise to not forget about you." Ricky just rolled his eyes as far back in his head as they could go.

"Sure okay. What else are you two gonna do?"

"Ricky, I have my own life and you can't control it." That was new for Ricky. He was taken aback by her approach. She grabbed her bag before walking away from him. Looks like he got himself into a knee-deep situation.

Nini walked out of his apartment and into the city to get coffee. She could not believe what he said. It was just so different for him. She got her coffee and walked out thinking about what she did to Ricky. She canceled on him and now she felt guilty. Was she just doing it because she was selfish?

She got a ride to Jason's house. Once she got there and went inside, there was no way that she would tell him that she and Ricky had plans.

"Hey, beautiful."

"Hey! How are you?" She said as she sat her stuff down and went over and went over to him and gave him a long kiss.

"Now I'm good," he smirked and pulled her in for another kiss. She eventually broke the kiss because she felt guilty for leaving Ricky. she took off her coat to reveal an exposing shirt. "You're gonna wear that and NOT let me kiss you?"

"Yes! My body, My choice!" he rolled his eyes and that caused her to laugh.

"So you ready for our date tomorrow?"

"More than ready. I've been waiting for two weeks! Your too slow."

"You know...I can just cancel."

"NO DON'T YOU DARE! YOU WILL BE THE END OF ME, YOU MORON!"

"Gosh! Calm down, woman! I'm not gonna cancel!"

"Okay good." She walked over to the refrigerator door and got out a slice of pizza. He picked up her bag and went through it.

"Neens, What's this? An overnight bag?"

"Actually, yes." He just blushed thinking about what could happen, or what he could do. He just shook the thoughts out of his head and grabbed a slice of pizza too. The rest of the night went smoothly and nothing happened. They just watched a movie and hung out.

The next morning, Nini completely forgot about Ricky needing her help to paint a wall in his new home. She quickly shot up and looked over at the clock to see it was already 10:30. She ran over to her bag, got changed, and ran out, leaving a note on the counter. She made it to Ricky's within twenty minutes.

"Ricky. Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry."

"Let me guess. You were with Jason." She stayed silent. "It's fine. I know how you feel about him. I can just ask Conan to come to help me."

"No Ricky...I want to do this with you. I'm so sorry." She already felt the guilt building up inside of her.

"save it, Nina." He said as he walked out of the room, leaving her heartbroken. He NEVER called her Nina. No one did. Deep down, he was not going to take her to the movies. He was going to take her to a fancy dinner and confess his love to her. But now she's going and putting her lips all over another guy.

Nini felt the tears start to drip down her cheeks and her nose start to run. This is when she realized how selfish she was. She gave up their plans, FOR JASON. She forgot about painting because she was WITH JASON. It made her feel guilty and like he did not deserve that after all he's done for her.

On the other hand, Ricky walked out of the room also in tears. He was going to tell the girl in front of him, that he loved her and only wanted her in his life. He never thought that she would bail TWICE on him. That's just not his Nini. He asked their good friend Conan Grey to help him instead. he gladly accepted. Ricky was thrown off all day about his and Nini's fight. He never meant to hurt her and neither did she.

Later that night, Nini still went on her date but was quiet. Jason picked up on it and started to ask questions but if Nini were to tell him that they canceled plans for him, he would flip. So Nini just used the excuse of she had a headache. He believed her and they went on with their dinner but her head was still thinking about Ricky.

"You know, you look so dang good in that dress your wearing." Jason commented, lightening the mood.

"Oh...Uh, thank you! You look very handsome too." Little did she know that Ricky was sitting 2 booths behind them and witnessing it all. The part that hurt the most was that Ricky had a reseved privet spot for them in the back of this exsact resturant.

"Nini, I really like you. And I don't know how you feel about this but, do you wanna take it up a knoch? Like I don't know. Point is, Will you be my girlfriend?" Ricky shot up and out of his seat and left because he was going to ask the same girl that question.

"Yes! Oh my gosh yes!" He pulled her in for a long kiss with risky hands. When Ricky got home, all he could do was lock himself in his room and write songs about he girl he loved and how he would never get to kiss her because another man had her heart. And he never would.
