Together till the end ~ a rini story

chapter 1

It has been 2 years since the inseparable pair met at the park and Ricky was teaching Nini how to ride his bike.

"Ricky, I'll never be able to ride a bike like you."

"Just keep trying." He gave her a push. She started rolling and then pelting.

"Ricky I'm doing it!" But that did not last long because she fell off and scraped her knee. Ricky always hated seeing her in pain because it caused him pain too. Once she fixed her knee, she stayed overnight and they watched a movie. Other kids thought their relationship was weird but it was magical to them.

They continued that through middle school and developed a friend group. Yes, Nini hung out with the girls, talked about girl stuff, and stopped wanting to rough house, but Ricky also hung out with his close friend big red and played video games and sports and whatever. They had sleepovers every weekend and that lasted through high school.

Tonight, Nini was coming over to Ricky's because it was the first day of spring break and they did not want to waste it. They always spent the holidays at Nini's and tonight she was sleeping over and she brought brownies. After a while they settled on watching Greace and she eventually fell asleep on his lap.

"Goodnight, Princess." He kissed her head. That was something that they always would do since the young age of 13.

The next morning, Nini woke up first and then tried to make her way out of Ricky's grasp. She walked over and greeted mike. Mike was like the dad she never had becuase she had two moms. And mike thought of Nini as his daughter. Ricky's mom left when he was three so that kinda why they just clicked. Soon after Nini plated herself a plate of pancakes, she heard him start to stir. She went and sat down next to him.

"Morining hansome." He just blushed at the name.

"Morning...What do you wanna do today?"

"I don't know. How about the beach?"

"Sure." He ate and greeted mike and then she went upstairs to her clothing stash that she kept at his place and chnaged.

Meanwhile...Ricky was talking with his dad.

"Listen Rick...Have fun and take care of my future daughter-in-lawl." Ricky blushed and rolled his eyes.

"Daddddd...." He groaned in embarressment. The parents always thought that they liked each other since the day that they met.

"What?! I'm just saying I know you love her and I love her too."

"Yeah. As a friend!" she came running down the stairs and Mike gave him a look. They packed food, towles, pool toys, umbrellas and sunscreen.

"You ready?"

"Born ready." she replied. They got into Ricky's car and drove to the beach. She automaticly turned on "Can't take my eyes off of you" Because it was their song. They once sung it at a wedding together.

Once they got there, Nini was the first one to the ocean.

"Ricky! Come on! The water is warm!" She knew he could not pass up a chance to go swimming with her so he dropped their stuff and ran into the water. They got into a splashing fight and it ended up with Ricky throwing her into the salty water.

"RICHARD!" She screamed. He swam over to her and picked her up and she got on his back. Without them knowing, A photo was captured by someone of them. The middle aged woman walked over and handed them the photo.

"Just so you can show the kids one day." She said.

"Thanks....But we are not dating."

"Oh well just a little keepsake. You never know." The pair went on about their day not hinking of it but they were oblivious to what fate had in store for them.
