Together till the end ~ a rini story

Chp. 5

Life has been misable for both ricky and nini. they have not talked in over two weeks and it was getting to Nini. she has baraly talked to her boyfriend so instead she layed on her couch and watched Netflix without showering or changing.

Ricky almost did the same but it was flip flopped. He was not able to sleep for 2 weeks and lily just tried to help but he rejected. He needed time to think out his emotions. Lily's mom was telling them to get married by the end of the year or else. He also dident know what to think of that.

He recently had this dream about his wedding.He was watching lily walk down the isle and stand before him. When he lifted the vail it was nini who he saw, not Lily. He sat up quickly and was panting. Lily sat up after.

"Baby, you okay?" He looked at her with big, worried eyes.

"Huh? I mean yeah of course." She gave him a knowing look but he wouldent DARE to tell her he just had a dream about marrying his best friend who was enemys with her. She nodded her head and gave him a kiss on the cheek before rolling back over.

He sighed and once she was asleep, he grabbed his keys and went for a walk. He turned down this one street without looking and when he lifted his head, he saw that it was the street that him and nini met on. It had the playground and everything.

He walked over to the swings and sat down on the middle one and sighed. He dident even notice the girl sitting on the other swing, dressed in his orange hoodie, holding a bear in her lap.

"I knew you would show up here." She spoke.

"Nini. Look I-"

"Nope. It's fine. I got it. Everything is good between us. No rough spots." She said. He even heard her voice start to quiver. He felt bad for blowing up at her but if he was being honest she was right. She always is.

"Nini. Just look at me please." He took his finger under her chin and turned her head to face him. "Your not dramatic. Your right. We have boundaries. We have partners. That was no where in our time being spent together should have happened. I'm so sorry. I wish we could just forget about it because the truth is... I miss you. I miss you so freaking much that it hurts to hear your name. I'm not myself without you. We are like PB and J." she chuckled.

"I missed you too. Ricky, I understand. We just need to act....more like friends than lovers. Not to sound weird. But think about it. We are so intimate. But I mean... Where's peanut butter without it's jelly, right?" He laughed. He stood up and walked over to her swing and pulled her in for a big embrace.

"I missed you, bubs."

"I know, Ricky. I did too."

"Ricky, what about this dress?" Lily asked. They were shopping for their wedding outfits. Nini went off on him when she found out about his wedding but she saw it coming. He invited nini to go with them to find outfits because she was the maid of honor. She accepted but it was painful.

"It looks good." He told her blandly.

"Ricky, you have said that for the past 7!"

"Yeah, but they all look the same!" They heard the curtain quietly open and they turned their heads to see Nini standing there in a dress.

"Um... What do you think about this?" She asked sheepishly. It was a long light blue dress, with diamonds around the waistband. The V-neck was deep, and Ricky was thinking about Jason and how he would use her for that. But he really couldn't help but see ho beautiful she looked.

"Wow, neens. You look.... beautiful." She blushed.

"Thank you, Ricky." Lily hated seeing them flirt so of course, she got in the way.

"Nini.... Do you have any um... other options?" Nini was taken aback. "I mean, it's just a bit too big in the bust, if you know what I mean..." Nini self-consciously looked down at her chest. "And your waist hmmmm.... it's just a bit too big for this dress. Can you suck in? Or better yet go on a diet until the wedding and get a bra size that's out of a triple A?" She said with a giggle.

Nini looked at Ricky with a sad look that screamed help as she felt the tears well up in her eyes.

"Lily. Don't you dare talk to her like that again. Do you understand?" Ricky said fierce.

"Yea yea, She just doesn't look like the rest of the bride's team. She's also the only brunette."

"That doesn't freaking matter. In fact, she looks better than the rest of them. She's Nini." Nini gave him a faint smile. Lily rolled her eyes and shut herself back inside the dressing room to try on another dress. Ricky walked over to Nini.

"I think your beautiful. Don't listen to her. Also your not a triple A, your a 34 B." He whispered, making her gasp witch was followed by a giggle. "She's only a 30 B. Therefore she has no right to body shame you in anyway (Anyone reading yawl are beautiful this is for storyline reasons only) shape or form." This made Nini audibly laugh. She really tried to stay strong for her best friend but when his fiancé is mean, it's kind of hard.

Ricky knew that and he hated her for it. He never even wanted to marry her in the first place. She was the one who dated him for a month and then proposed. It was all kind of forced. Nini had her boyfriend who was coming to the wedding which made Ricky fume. He hates the fact that he puts his lips on his best friend without even asking her. She may think that he doesn't know but he has seen the bruise that one night on their getaway that ended in pieces.

The trio ended up leaving soon after Lily bought her dress, Nini leaving with nothing. She listened to Ricky but she just assumed he was smooth talking her so she set the dress back down, letting Lily get to her. She kinda wished she wasent here. All in all, she's just becoming a big problem. Between body shaming, friendships, toxic relationships, parents, it's just all too hard to keep up with.

That night when she got home, she went up to her room after setting down her bag and locking the door from her roommate and searched through her bedroom's bathroom to find the anti-depressants she was supposed to take 2 years ago. She sat on the bathroom floor and dumped 72 of the 150 pills in her hand.

"this should do it." she mumbled to herself as she got a cup of water and started to swallow the pills one by one. After she was done, she unlocked the door and got into bed, hoping for the worse. She rolled back and forth for a while till she felt dizzy. Her eyes were huge and dilated that night before shutting at around 3 in the morning, leaving Nini unconscious in her bed.
