Guy Germaine was the last thing on my mind.

Roman Thatcher had stopped me at the door, and begun talking my ear off. I was listening, Justine nodding along, when I heard him mention 'my boyfriend Guy', I stopped him.

"He's not my boyfriend." I told him.

Roman's brows shot up. "Really? I would have thought the way that he talked to and about you that—"

I shook my head. "No. No. I've, uh, never actually had a boyfriend?"

"You're telling me you've never had a boyfriend?" He asked, watching as I shook my head. "Well, why don't we change that?"

My eyes widened, but before I heard Kenny yell my name. I turned towards him, telling Roman to hold on for a second, but saw Charlie pull Kenny back down.

"What?" I could barely hear what Kenny was saying.

I saw Charlie speaking to him, and then Kenny's classic confused face appeared.

"We're shuttin' her out because she made varsity?" I heard Dwayne ask. "That makes no sense."

I clenched my jaw, turning to look at the varsity table, where Adam was sitting. I told Roman that I'd get back to him, and walked over to Adam.

"Hey." He mumbled. "You can here them, right?"

I nodded. "But they don't matter. The two of us stick together from now on. Because apparently once you're no longer a Duck, you're no longer a friend either."

Adam nodded, and this time, neither of us looked at the Duck table. If they wanted to move on, we would move on too.

Guy Germaine was ignoring and being ignored.

We had woken up super early the next morning to play a match against JV, and I already had a gut feeling that this wasn't going to go well.

"Guys, don't do this." I mumbled. "This is just a trap, and I thought you guys would be smart enough to know that—"

"And we're gonna listen to you because why?" Russ questioned. "The last time you've given us advice on them, it failed miserably."

"I'm serious this time." I stressed. "You have to go back, I'll tell them how you got stopped by Orion, and—"

"Go back to your team, Moreau." Charlie snapped. "We're fine over here."

I stared between all of them, and everyone but Kenny and Fulton didn't meet her eyes. Nevertheless, I skated over to varsity, and once I was close enough, Rick grabbed my jersey, pulling me closer.

"Hey!"

"What did you tell them?" He demanded.

"Get off me." I snapped, failing to shrug him off. "I didn't tell them anything."

He stared at me for a moment, before shoving me back slightly. Carlo stepped toward him, shoving him back as well.

"Back off her, Reilly." He snapped. "She's a fifteen year old girl. You really want your Dad to find out that you're pushing young girls around?"

Rick scoffed, and started yelling everyone where to go.

As I already knew, the game against JV went to shit. Things that would have been fouls in a real game, were every play used. By the end of it, Adam and Charlie were wrestling in the net, and Orion had come in and broken up the game.

"Get out of here!" He snapped.

We skated away, and both Adam and I felt nothing but guilt and regret.

Guy Germaine was overheard saying Charlie and Fulton left Eden Hall.

Adam has overheard it, and the two of us were shocked. What was wrong with Charlie? Why was he acting like this? We knew that Fulton had always been a bit of a follower, but to follow Charlie away from an opportunity look this? He was a bigger follower then we thought.

The two of us, who were closer after being abandoned by the Ducks, were walking through the halls, mumbling back and forth to each other. Someone collided with my shoulder, making the person grunt a bit. I looked at the person, and saw it was Kenny.

"Hey, guys—"

"Go find the Ducks, Kenny." I said. "Don't let them see you talking to us."

"What?" He asked.

"We're not friends anymore, Kenny." I said. "According to you guys at least."

"You're still my friend." Kenny said. "You Donny treat me any different."

I just nodded, and ushered him along.

"At least some of them still want to be your friend." Adam muttered.

I turned towards him, and put my hand on his shoulder. "I'm sure he didn't mean anything like that."

Adam barely nodded. I could tell that he didn't believe me. And so far, if I were Adam, I wouldn't either.

"I want my family back." He mumbled.

I turned towards him, thinking the same thing. "I know. I do too. But we're not apart of it anymore."

"I know." He said quietly. "Shit, I know, and it hurts. I-why did they do this? What did we do wrong, Allison? Why did they cut us out? I don't understand what we did wrong?"

I sighed again, and said, "We didn't do anything wrong. If they were so quick to hate us for making varsity, then they always felt this way, some just buried it down. If they ever do apologize, don't fall for when they say 'I didn't mean what I said' because they did. Their anger helped them say it."

"But—"

"You know the saying 'drunk words are sober thoughts'? It's the same for angry words. That's why people are afraid of their anger." I told him, my fists clenched. "Because that's when the truth comes out."

Adam nodded, and I felt a bit bad, but the anger I felt towards the Ducks needed to be let out, but I felt bad that it was towards Adam. He seemed to understand though.

"So we don't forgive them if they do ever apologize?" He asked.

I shook my head. "Only if they earn it. And so far, they have done nothing to deserve it. Don't fall for it because they're our friends."

Adam nodded again, and then, we both walked in silence.
