She was never going to get used to the Tardis. Skimming her fingertips along the railing, Juliet's emerald eyes grew bejewelled from the lights. Softly parting her cherry lips in surprise, Juliet couldn't help but smile at the sudden vibrations from the metal.
"What's so funny?" The Doctor interrupted her thoughts, making her purse her mouth.
"Oh, nothing," she chided, moving to give him the most sparkling gaze known to man. "So, where do we need to go? Do you have a spider-sense when someone's in danger in the universe?"
He guffawed, flicking some levers, moving the Tardis. "You're havin' a laugh, aren't ya?" He asked, leaning his elbows back onto the console. Noticing her silence, he cleared his throat. "No, no. Um, that's a tad too fantastical for me."
She nodded, realising it was getting a bit awkward. "Okay," she answered, her voice lowering in embarrassment. "Where would you like me to put my things?" She asked, letting Pepper down from her hold.
"Um, right," he replied, nodding at the bags. Moving to grab them from her, he began to walk through the Tardis. "Follow me, I know a room not to far from here."
He did in fact know a room not too far, from his room that was. He could never open it, the room locked for him. Finding out it was a bedroom however, he knew someone had to go in it. So, walking down the corridors to his bedroom, he turned around to her. he didn't know why he led her there; there were plenty of empty rooms near Rose's that he could have let her use. But he followed his gut, absentmindedly walking to the one place he normally wouldn't think about going.
With his hands full, Juliet pointed to the sage green door. "This one?" She asked, to which he nodded. He wasn't sure why he was reluctant to explain it being locked, but he get quiet, seeing why he instinctually chose this room.
Lightly letting her hand turn the knob, she looked up at his apprehensive face. "What?" She asked, looking back at the door, realising it hadn't opened. "Oh! Sorry, I didn't turn it far enough, my fault," she giggled abashedly, realising the silence ate at them. Turning the knob fully, she let a sigh leave her mouth as the door creaked open.
Stepping cautiously inside, Juliet's jaw could've hit the floor at the pulchritudinous sight in front of her. Looking back to see if the Doctor followed, she took note of his equally impressed reaction.
"You've never been in here or something?" She asked, smiling at the detail on the sage wall nearest to her.
"No. Never," he admitted, stepping inside to put the bags down.
"Oh my gosh," she gushed, running to the far walls. "I can see space!" Her childish excitement made him smile, exploring the spacious room.
Above her, she could see the ceiling was also a glass panel, with hovering crystal light fixtures. It all seemed so magical to her, turning around with her face upwards to absorb it all in.
Beaming to herself, she looked around to see a double bed, with the silkiest sheets known to her. Ambling over, she let her fingers touch the material, the duvet feeling like heaven already. Sighing at the thought of sleeping already, she turned to look at the other furnishings.
Across from the bed was a bookcase, full of lightly dusty books. Some she didn't fully recognise, but others were easy to recall. Over by the entrance, a vanity, with such delicate patterns along the edges. She could understand why the Doctor would never go into this room; nearly everything looked so precious.
