"Ah, the idiot pick up is here." Cyno says to Tighnari, pointing to the tavern's entrance, where Alhaitham can be seen looking around for them. Kaveh's face is unceremoniously planted on top of their table, snoozing after one too many drinks. A few too many drinks.
They'd both agreed that there was no way he could get home on his own and that the only viable option was to enlist the help of his roommate.
"Come on, big Lummox, your Alhaitham is here." Tighnari nudges the unconscious Kaveh, hoping to wake him up enough for him to be able to leave with his roommate and perhaps a semblance of dignity.
"Hmmh?" Kaveh mumbles drowsily, not moving from his comfortable spot on the table.
Alhaitham approaches their table. He nods politely to the still sober duo before placing a hand on Kaveh's back, rousing him from his slumber. "It's time for us to go home; can you get up?"
"No." Kaveh pouts, pretending to be angry with Alhaitham.
The Scribe sighs, unwilling to revisit the argument that brought Kaveh here and in this state in the first place. He grabs Kaveh's arms, who lacks the motor skills to fight off his roommate. He lifts the drunk blond into his arms with practised ease, and despite his struggles, Kaveh quickly settles into the crook of Alhaitham's neck comfortably. Long arms and legs wrap around the Scribe's body as if it were a normal occurrence.
"Surely you're not going to carry him all the way back like that?" Tighnari raises an eyebrow at the unreasonable hold the Scribe had on his roommate.
"Sometimes it's easier to just go along with what he wants." Alhaitham sighs, positioning his arms to properly secure Kaveh.
"You're whipped." Cyno muses.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Alhaitham says.
"Sure you don't." The two remaining at the table chime in unison, both tired of the roommates not simply getting together.
"Haaaaithaaaaaaam..." Kaveh whines into Alhaitham's ear, a light flush travels up the Scribe's face. "Wanna go hoooomeee."
"Yeah, yeah, off we go." He turns on his heel, already forgetting about their friends, who simply watch the two leave the tavern, Alhaitham talking to the slurring and babbling Kaveh. Neither Cyno nor Tighnari miss Alhaitham's fond expression as he plants a soft kiss on Kaveh's forehead.
"I'll probably kill one of them if they don't confess to each other." Tighnari states bluntly before downing his drink in agitation.
