*Three months Later

Dick Grayson POV:

I let out a long sigh. God I was tired, between helping Bruce out with patrols and work I barely had any time to get some sleep. Especially after that weird power surge that Tim a had picked up on in the batcave. Bruce wants us all to be cautious since we don't know what caused it yet. It's been three months since then and we don't have even the barest of ideas of what could have caused that strange power surge.

I decided to go to one of the bars close by before heading back to Bludhaven. I searched up any nearby and one that was pretty close with good ratings is rare considering most bars are run by criminals. I spot the bar about 2 blocks away from me with a glowing sign saying Larry's Bar. I enter the bar and become assaulted with the smell of alcohol, greasy foods, and sweats? Weird, most bars don't usually have sweats. Upon entering the bar I see that instead of finding people trying to beat each other up, I find people sitting contently at the bar and tables, talking softly with other people.

I walk over to the bar to order myself a drink. I sit down while looking at the menu. Suddenly a young woman walks over to me. She's wearing a white button down shirt, with a black vest, shorts, and bow, along with a black top hat. What I'm going to assume is the Bar's uniform.

"Hello. Are you ready to order sir." the bartender asked. With a closer look at her she has dark brown hair, brown eyes, and tanned skin that tells me that it's her natural skin color rather than spending her time out in the sun. She's wearing little to no makeup. "Yes, I'm ready to order." I responded, my signature smile plastered on my face.

The bartender smiles warmly at me and says "What can I start you off with, sir?"

"The special, please." I say, hoping it's something strong. "I'm afraid that our special is unavailable at the moment. Our usual bartender that makes the drinks had something to take care of. Is there anything else I can get you?"

"I'll get a whiskey." I say.

"Okay. Is that all you want?"

"Yes"

She then walks away, grabs a bottle of finely aged whiskey, gets a glass cup, puts some ice in it then pours the drink and hands it over to me. "There you go sir enjoy."

"Thank you" I say.

She then once again walks away to go deal with some other customers. I take a sip of my whiskey and let it burn down my throat. God I needed that. I take my phone out and just start randomly scrolling through it. After going through a couple of drinks I finally start to feel a little tipsy.

Suddenly a glass of water is set in front of me. I stare at wondering why I was given this, then look up to see the bartender looking at me. "Drink it." She says. "Why did you drug it?" I ask playfully. She laughed at what I said "No, I just saw you getting a few too many drinks over here and since you're not here with anybody right, I kinda figured you would rather be sober before heading out drunk, and waking up in the middle of nowhere. And you don;t have to worry, the water's free."

I smile up at her thanking before taking the glass of water and taking a few sips of it. "So what's a pretty girl like you doing here in Gotham working at a bar?" I ask, genuinely wondering why this girl was working here. She laughs a little before smiling warmly at me, god it's so hard to find people who can still smile in this city, "Actually the funny thing is me and my friends work here. We never meant to do it. It kind of just happened. We ran into a little bump and the previous owner of this place was kind enough to let us stay here, until we figured out what our next step was. Few days pass and next thing we know we're working behind the bar, cleaning tables, taking orders, escorting drunk idiots out the door. After a while we decided to stay here and help Larry out, he was the previous owner of this place before he gave it to us. We helped fix leaks in the ceiling, replacing the floor boards, repainting the walls, anything Larry needed us to do. Larry was getting older and for some reason decided to give this place to us so he could go and retire out in the country. Said he needed the fresh air." The bartender seems to be lost in thought at a memory from the story that she had just told.

"So you came here with friends?" I asked.

"Ya, I did." she responded, a smile still on her face.

We continue to talk a bit before she has to get back to taking customers orders. Soon after I pay for my drinks and leave.

Soon I get an alert message on my phone from Bruce Need you back at the cave,

Guess it's time to get back to work. Oh the wonderful things of being a hero.
