⇝The older man's eyes moved restlessly, and Jimin urged him to reveal the secret that kept him smiling, when nobody saw him.

―I'm going on a date ―he finally confessed, causing Park to jump on his spot, celebrating the good news.

―Congratulations hyung! ―he hugged him, knowing how difficult it was for his boss to take that step.

―But I'm dying of nerves ―he waved his hands, fanning his face.

―Who is he? ―he wanted to know.

―The... boy across the street ―he scratched the back of his neck, embarrassed. ―Taehyung.

―Taehyung? What? At what point did this happen? ―he exclaimed, making different expressions of bewilderment, trying to remember the signals that he didn't catch before. ―I've never seen you two talks that I know of.

―Of course ―he rolled his eyes, ―We've been talking on the phone for some time... or who do you think answers all the orders in the restaurant? ―he said obviously. ―And Taehyung seems like a really nice guy ―he added, a blush in his ears.

―Of course, he is ―the younger confirmed, calming some of Seokjin's nervousness. ―Taehyung is a sun, the truth... he has always been kind to me and very attentive, when we meet at the flower shop.

―Do you think we'd function as something else? ―curiosity got the better of the owner of the Bon Apettit.

―Definitely ―he agreed, convinced of it. ―Taehyung would be a great partner for you, hyung ―he smiled at him. ―I wish everything goes well ―he gave him a thumbs up in approval.

―I hope that too.

When noon came around, Seokjin made sure to leave after Taehyung left the flower shop, to keep the mystery until the end. They had agreed to meet at the ice cream parlor on the neighboring promenade, to be relatively close to their workplaces, and not take too long to return, since Seokjin's time was limited.

In the distance, Seokjin saw the brown-haired boy, sitting with a pompous bouquet of pink and white daisies. Inevitably, he smiled at the gesture. The boy had never seen him, and he only knew his voice; even so, he was waiting for him with flowers. Reaffirming his list of pros, he walked at a steady pace, until he stopped in front of the table that Taehyung was occupying.

Confused, the boy looked at him with his mouth open and the rimmed glasses sliding slowly down his nose. He was adorable, in Seokjin's eyes.

―Taehyung-ssi? ―he asked, though he had no doubt it was him. ―I... I'm Kim Seokjin ―he introduced himself, and the surprise in the other only increased. Faced with his silence, Seokjin preferred to sit down.

―S-S-Seokjin-ssi ―he stammered, adjusting his glasses to see him better. The boy couldn't believe that such a monument to beauty was the mysterious man with whom he had been talking for at least a month.

―I hope I'm not disappointing you ―the boy denied vehemently.

―W-Why do you think s-so? ―he questioned, because he felt completely ordinary, next to the unreal appearance of the other. ―Why d-did you say that you w-were af-af-afraid of not l-liking m-me? ―Seokjin shrugged, embarrassed.

―I don't know ―he played with his fingers, on the small table in the ice cream parlor.

―Y-You are the most be-beautiful m-man I have e-ever s-seen ―he assured, smiling broadly. ―A-And I l-look a-at myself in the m-mirror e-every day ―he took advantage of joking, making Seokjin laugh, making him quickly feel comfortable in his company.

―Thank you ―he looked at him touched. ―But it's hard to think of me like that, after living so many bad experiences.

―W-What do you me-mean? ―he wanted to investigate a little more.

―I have horrible luck choosing boyfriends ―he huffed, retaining his smile. ―I've only gotten headaches.

―O-Oh... I understand ―agreed the boy. ―Seokjin-ssi... ―he mentally congratulated himself for not getting stuck saying his beautiful name. ―C-Can I ask y-you a quest-tion?

―You don't need my permission ―he smiled at him. ―The idea of a date, is to ask questions, too.

―W-Well... n-not that it bo-bothers m-me, b-but... have you n-noticed that... you talk ab-about the t-two of us... as m-more than just fr-friends? ―he said, wrinkling his pants under the table, due to his beginner's nerves.

―Taehyung-ssi... ―the look that Seokjin directed straight into his eyes made his throat dry. ―Are you sure we can only be friends? ―he said, throwing himself with his eyes closed to that cliff that was Kim Taehyung, trusting that, having met him, it was not a mere trick of fate, and that it was something more transcendental.

Taehyung, assimilating the answer, gave him a rectangular smile, energetically shaking his head; happy to not be the only one involving my heart in this, and to share an instant connection with Seokjin.

―Ho-How old are y-you? ―he began to ask, because that doubt gnawed at him, noticing that the man looked young.

―I recently turned twenty-seven ―the brown-haired boy swallowed with difficulty. ―And you, Taehyung-ssi?

―T―Twenty... re-recently t-too ―for a second, he feared that the age difference was a problem for the other, but Seokjin didn't wipe his smile even after hearing his answer.

―I figured you shouldn't have been more than twenty ―he nodded in agreement. ―You look like a teenager.

―You sh-shouldn't t-treat me s-s-so form-mal, t-then ―he suggested. ―I'm t-the one who s-should d-do it.

―I like old-fashioned courtship ―he rested his elbow on the table and his chin on his raised fist, only to fix his expressive eyes on the younger one. ―Then... p-please a-accept t-this humble g-gift ―he handed him the flowers.
