Vijay stared at the road blankly, waiting for someone while sitting in his car. Twitching his fingers and showing all signs that he's restless. He took his phone from the dashboard and checked the time. It's frustrating him to wait and waste his time on something that is completely stupid. He then took Aarthi's phone and checked the call log. Sharath has called her two more times, but Aarthi didn't attend the call. She let it ring and gave the phone to Vijay telling them she didn't need it. He's happy that she did that yet it seems all fishy. He's not ready to believe that Aarthi will stay with him forever, especially when people like Sharath keep intruding in their life.
Now he's waiting in front of the building where Sheath just went in. Vijay is obsessed with him and he wanted to know how much he wanted to talk to Aarthi. Sharath came out of the coffee shop with a girl, Vijay's eyes darted and he watched every step of him.
Why is he with another girl? Yes, he's going to get married soon. But why is he following my Aarthi? Vijay muttered. He watched them drive away.
He'll follow them as he's so obsessed right now but he knew that was too stupid of him. He got a lot of work, he needs to take care of his pregnant wife and there's much more. He shouldn't waste his time like this.
He drove his car to the hotel and to his surprise, he saw Aaarthi standing there. He got down from the car and went to her hurriedly.
"What happened? Why are you here?" he questioned.
"I came to see the doctor?" Aarthi answered.
"Today? We had a check-up only last week," he mentions, looking at her skeptically."Yes, but I have had a mild pain in the abdomen since the afternoon. My phone was with you, so I couldn't call you," she said.
"You came to the hospital on your own?" he frowned.
"Yes, that's what happens all the time," she said, "When did you ever accompany me?"
"I don't want to leave without telling you, that's why I came here," Aarthi said. She's not afraid of him anymore. As she gets used to his personality, she no longer fears to tell him what's in her mind.Vijay stared at her wondering how she got so fearless but he likes her being casual with him. At least she talks more with him this way. Being with her is the only time he got to feel that he's normal and on the other time, something in his tells that he's different. It can't be taken away from his mind and Aarthi is his only escape. He wanted to ask what the doctor said but he knew it won't be serious or else won't be sounding normal. He shoved off the thought to ask about the baby. Aarthi didn't expect that either.
She stared at him, walking into the hotel. She has no desire to go in there and wait for him.
"I'm going home," she said.
"Without me?" He raised his eyebrows, stopping in the middle."Yes. I don't want to stay here,"
Aarthi is firm in her decision but when she sees his glare, she eventually changes her decision. Being stubborn is easy, however she wanted peace more than that. She has no strength to argue with him all the time.
"You can't stay? Why?" he asks.
Aarthi looked away. "I'll wait here,"She gave up as she had no other choice.
He nodded and walked inside. She wondered where he must have gone in the middle of the evening. She knew his schedule, he won't go anywhere at this time. Ever since Sharath called him, he's been acting weird. Aarthi has no idea what's going on in his mind. It would be better if that's not about Sharath and that phone call.
She sat down in the waiting space outside the hotel and watched people entering, leaving with a smile on their faces. Aarthi wished to have a normal life like most of the people here but she didn't think it would happen. Maybe after the birth of her child, Vijay might change a little.
