Due to all the fuss that was being created by the press on Bruce Wayne's engagement, it was decided to keep the wedding a low-key event. As such there would be no press reporters allowed and only the closest family and friends from both sides would be invited.

Calmia's brother and her mother had come from Egypt a few days prior and from her side, only they along with her few close friends would be attending the event. The majority of the guests were from Bruce's side, mainly his family members and a few close friends such as the Kent family and his colleagues from the Justice League.

Despite it being a low-key event, the guest list was enormous. And if they hosted the wedding anywhere in Gotham, they could very easily be spotted by the press.

So in the end, it was decided to arrange the wedding in Jump City where Bruce had property but wasn't as well known. 

Tim and Stephanie along with Calmia's friend Jade Westley were the main members of the team in charge of setting up the venue. An empty plot reserved for a future branch of Wayne Enterprises was used as the site where the wedding would take place.

So the three of them had left for Jump City earlier than the rest, getting busy with their task of turning that empty plot into a beautiful wedding venue. 

Calmia preferred simplicity and Bruce did not have many opinions when it came to decorations so Jade and Steph took it upon themselves to make sure that everything would turn out to be perfect for the bride and groom. Following a fall wedding theme, the venue was decorated in rich shades of gold and soft brown.

The outdoor venue made it possible for them to set the place up like a garden, complete with orange leaves complementing the gold and brown color theme. There was no strict dress code for the guests, however, the bridesmaids had chosen to wear russet dresses and the bride's dress was a warm shade of cream.

The guests were supposed to stay at a private hotel, of course, owned by Bruce. And there was extreme care taken to not let the press catch a whiff of the event.

At last, it was the day of the wedding, and all the guests that had to come from Gotham and Metropolis had reached the hotel. All the preparations for the wedding venue had been made as well by their devoted team of organizers and by then, Jade was finally free to go to her best friend and help her get ready as well.

Calmia had spent the previous two days with her family and she was glad they could join her on the most memorable day of her life. Her father had died a few years back so her elder brother Aman had taken their mother's responsibility.

Aman lived in Cairo as he was involved in the family business of her maternal relatives. Whereas Calmia had settled in Gotham and couldn't leave to go with her mother to her brother's place after her father's death as she had just started her career as an interior designer.

And she was glad she hadn't left Gotham back then or else she might never have been able to meet Bruce.

Bruce had met her family members a day prior and so far, Calmia's mother was quite impressed by him and delighted to have him as her son-in-law. However, Aman did not refrain from carrying out a brief interrogation to make sure his sister wasn't making a mistake.

Bruce had expected that so he was quite prepared for it and the whole discussion was amusing to Calmia as she kept drawing parallels to how chaotic it had been when she had first met Bruce's family instead.

Right then Aman was telling Calmia that even if he lived far from Gotham, she should not hesitate to call him if things ever went wrong. "I will be here for you in a heartbeat, okay? I made it perfectly clear to Wayne as well."
