Broodmother

The gang followed Rehn and Venessa to the green obelisk guns in hand. They were accompanied by two therizinosaurs, long clawed herbivores. "This is so exciting!" Beverly stated. "Finally, I first of three till the big ticket!" John added. "Almost there guys", Venessa said. They finally reached a metal plateau. They walked up to it, and held the artifacts and organic resources up to the long, implant in the center. The implant scanned the items, and a milk white forcefield began to form and enclose around them and the dinosaurs. "Already here, feels like we started from nothing!" Rehn said. "Mabye for you, but we've been here much longer than you" Venessa stated. "Here we go guys, get prepared." Venessa said one last time before they were blinded by a flash.

They suddenly all appeared in a huge room, that looked like a den in a huge cave. "Get ready guys, things are about to get rough!" Venessa stated. They herd thundering crashes, like footsteps that spiked the ground instead of walking, much louder than Whip's. A gigantic arachnid made its way around one of the pillars. Its big, black eyes stared into all the survivors' souls, before roaring a deafening screech., swaying its massive head left to right. The group noticed that the small tunnels on all four corners of the den began to fill with araneos, marching out of the tunnels. The animals roared at the Broodmother, and charged.

Acklo, Marla, and rose, all bit down on the spider's spikey legs, and the argentavis slashed at her back, while the therizinosaurs slashed at the spider minions. "Whewee, that's one big mama!" Micha shouted, pulling out his shotgun and shooting the Broodmother in the face. "Rehn, carry this." Venessa told Rehn before shooting an araneo. "This is a tek rifle, it'll take some time to charge up, so carry it while using your rifle to shoot mama brood." Venessa quickly screaming, and went back to shooting Broodmother. The giant spider threw its legs in the air, and sent the dinos flying.

The therizinos were the first to go, getting targeted by the Broodmother. The guardian went over to them, even though the gang kept on firing. She reached the pair, and pinned both of them down by stabbing them with her front legs in the face. The two died immediately, and Broodmother released her fronts from the therizinosaurs bodies, and turned around.

Broodmother opened her mouth, and shot John right in the face. He screamed out at the top of his lungs, as the wet, sticky, green, acidical sludge ran down his face. The moosh burned the skin off his face, and he went flopping down to the floor, dying a slow, agonizingly painful death. Marla, Rose, and Acklo slowly recovered from their wounds, and went chasing after the bug spider. The Broodmother was so focused on the humans, that she didn't see the dinos coming, and they pounced down on her back from a ledge. Marla instantly fell, Acklo stumbled a bit and fell, but Rose dug her claws into the Broodmother's abdomen.

The massive arachnid screeched, swaying her body around violently. Rose instantly came crashing down. Broodmother lifted her hind leg up, ready to stab the utahraptor. Rose forcefully threw herself to the side, missing the leg. Broodmother became more and more in raged. The arachnid bent her abdomen down, and blasted webs out of two spikes protruding out. Sarah and Micha managed to dodge the sticky traps, but Beverly wasn't so lucky. She had a web smacked at her, covering her whole body.

Micha and Sarah came over to her aid, but as the tried tearing the web open, they just got themselves stuck. There knifes didn't do anything. The Broodmother came over, and swallowed Beverly whole. "My God!" Micha screamed. Broodmother finished, and looked down at the two. Broodmother roared at them. They ran, still looking forward, holding their guns up and firing.

Rehn was still shooting the araneos, keeping them at bay, when he felt something. There was a sudden, warm sensation on his back, it was that rifle Venessa handed him. He unholstered the gun, and noticed the blue, lit up lights.

"We're loosing everyone!" Venessa shouted. "Perrty obvious", Micha responded. "Hey, Venessa!" Rehn shouted. "Really busy here!" Venessa replied. "I got the rifle working!" "Yes, yes, oh thank God!" Venessa yelled. Broodmother tried slamming her leg down on top of Venessa's head, but she quickly dodged it. "Rehn, wait there on the ledge, I'll guide it to you, and then you shoot, alright!" "Got it!" Venessa bent down, and looked at her shoes. She then pulled two climbing picks out of her belt, and attached them to the bottom of her shoes. She noticed she only had one last bullet in her rifle, and she aimed at the Broodmother.

Micha and Sarah shot at the spider, but she just used the side of her front leg to smack there guns far away. They were backed into the bottom of the other ledge (the one opposite of Rehn's). Venessa fired, and the Broodmother turned to face her. Broodmother looked away to face Venessa, but not wanting her to get killed, Micha and Sarah threw their knives at the spider. She turned to look at them, and Venessa used her sling shot, and picked up a large stone, and flung it at the Broodmother. She looked at Venessa. Venessa ran, as the Broodmother chased her. She ran up the ledge, passed Rehn, and ran across the ceiling. She pulled at her shoes, and pulled the hooks out of the ceiling. She went flying straight down onto Broodmother's abdomen, and pulled at spear. She landed, the shear velocity, made the weapon stab hard through the tough skin. The spider screeched.

"Now!" Venessa screamed. Rehn fired straight at the spiders face. The blue blasts did much better damage than the other guns, and finally the beast went down. The Broodmother went flipping over, but Micha and Sarah were crushed. As the spider turned over on its back, it crunched them under its spiked abdomen. "NOOOOO!!!" Venessa screamed. She dropped her knees to the floor, and weeped. Rehn sat down next to her, and the dinos came over next to the two. The forcefield covered them again, and they went back to the island. "Um...hey, at least we won." Rehn comforted her. "Just...leave me alone." They walked the journey home, quietly.
