JJ's pov
Emily, Morgan, Penelope and I got to the high school first, Hotch called Sophie and told her we were on our way. When we pulled up I felt sick again.

Nothing changed. It was still just a plain camp in the middle of nowhere. I saw the bear statue I would cry on, the cabin I lived in, where I kissed Scott the first time.

Over the years I learned that the love I had for Scott was temporary. We met at a point of our lives where we needed stability, and neither could provide it. We never would've worked.

I heard Sophie voice behind me and turned around. "Shelby?" She asked when she saw my face, I could see tears starting to form in her eyes. I took a step forward and shook my head.

"I'm Jennifer Jareau, we talked on the phone." She shook my hand and didn't take her eyes off me when I introduced the others. "Sorry. You look like my daughter." I froze when she said that.

Peter and Sophie were always my "parents" my entire time here. They protected me and saved me from the worst time in my life. She had always called me her kid, I had just assumed she stopped when I left.

"Just one of those faces." She nodded and led us to the main cabin. "The police captain is an alumni and told us what had been happening. He believes an old student is the one the man is killing for." Sophie explained.

"Who is she?" Penelope asked, looking at the simple decorations in the cabin. "Her name is Shelby Merrick. Her mother brought her when she was 15. Shelb was a runaway and an addict, among other things. When she was 18 she left this place. No one has seen or heard from her since. Peter and I invited her old friends to help figure this out."

"The captain was okay with that?" Emily asked. Sophie nodded. "He was one of her friends. They were in the same group, the Cliffhangers. The five others are on their way now." They're coming. They're coming to help me. Shelby. They're helping Shelby. I'm JJ.

"You said is. Do you think she's alive?" Sophie nodded and stopped walking. "Absolutely. Shelby is one of the strongest people I have ever met. The world attacked her at every moment of her life but she still came out on top. I don't think anything could stop her."

Sophie led us to a cabin I knew all to well, mine. When we walked in I put my bag on my old bed. The one I once fought Juliette on. Sophie noticed and excused herself.

Sophie's pov
That's Shelby. I know my Shelby and JJ is Shelby. When I saw the way she went straight for her bed I knew it was her. I left the agents to get situated and ran for Peters office.

"Soph. What's wrong?" He said when I burst in. "The FBI are here about what Auggie told us. And one of them looks identical to her. She sounds like her, she looks like her, she even knew which bed was hers. I'm telling you it's her." He looked at me like I was crazy.

"Who?"

"Shelby. My Shelby. There's a blonde agent and it's her. I know it is. I just need to get her alone." Peter stood up from behind his desk and came over to me. "Shelby is gone. She left a long time ago and she isn't coming back." I shook my head and brought him towards the cabin. We were interrupted by a car honking.

"Miss me?"
