"Please Sir, Allow us to check him first... Please step aside... "

"Hang in there, Little Brother..."

Danil's head was filled with rocks... he felt like he wanted to sleep for a thousand years... everything was numb... and calm... the bed was soft and he was warm and cozy...

He tried hard to crack his eyes open but he couldn't... he must have whimpered in frustration because he felt someone close... a hand on his cheek...

"Danil... Are you awake ?"

it was a woman's voice...

"Danil... C'mon... you are scaring your brother..."

his eyes opened a small crack... he saw the shape of someone standing on his side...

"Lill... Lilian..."

"oh my god... it's good to see you..."

"tired...."

"We know you are... let me ring to the doctor real fast, ok? try to stay awake..."

"Ivan...?"

"he had a phone call and went out for a second... I am here with you..."

the doctor came in... tried to sustain his attention and check him... but Danil was too tired to remain awake any further...

Ivan came running when Lilian told him Danil was awake and the doctor was checking him...

"What happened?"

"he woke up... "

"you talked to him ?"

Lilian nodded and held Ivan's hand in hers...

"He is ok, Mr. Ivan... his vitals are stable... his fever seems to be still high... you would have to wait for him a little bit more.."

the doctor left them... Ivan sat heavily next to his brother's bed... Lilian sat next to him and leaned a bit into his side...

"he is going to be ok..."

Ivan hoped she was right... because he got the scare of his life a couple of days ago at the airport... once Danil lost consciousness and hit the floor in a heap...

when they got to the hospital... they found cuts on his hip that were bleeding sluggishly and infected... His kidney on the same side was bruised as well as a few broken ribs... with the threat of Pneumonia... and a high fever... his fall to the ground also resulted in him hitting his head a bit too hard...

so he was placed under observation in the hospital... Ivan was beside himself with worry... Lilian called and came and has been with him since then...

Ivan told Lilian what had transpired with Kamol and Kim... and what Kim told him...

"pretty smart that Kim..."

"I thought so too... A good match for Kamol... But he was right though... Danil needed guidance... I opted to push him away..."

"It is not too late for that..."

He looked at her closely, He remembered telling Kamol that love was boring...

"you should go home, Lilian..."

"no... I am staying.. he recognized me..."

"he did ??"

"he asked about you as well... you know... I am kinda growing fond of him... and I want to get on his good side... so... I am staying..."

Ivan chuckled at her...
