Renée Murden as Scarlet Adams

Scarlet breathed a sigh of relief as she collapsed the last of her, what once seemed endless, brown moving boxes. She popped it by the others at the front door - taking out the recycling was a job for tomorrow. Now, it was time to slouch on the sofa with a glass of rosé and and the newest series of Emily in Paris.
It had been a busy day moving her life 200 miles up north to Manchester from London, where Scarlet had spent the last 25 years of her life. she even went to university in London so she could stay living at home. A self proclaimed daddy's girl, Scarlet acknowledged that she had had a privileged upbringing. She was her parents' miracle baby and they were pretty wealthy, meaning she had never really had to work too hard for anything in her life.
At 21, when she had stalled as much time as possible at university, through Scarlet's father's contacts, she walked into her role of Junior Marketing Executive at Victoria's Secret's HQ in London. It took her a while to become accustomed to the whole working 9-5, 5 days a week lifestyle, but oddly she enjoyed the structure and purpose it gave to her life. Scarlet stayed there for 4 years, progressing to Social Media Manager.
Back then, Scarlet could've never imagined making the decisions she had made that led her to this moment. She had been living in a lovely flat in an incredible location in central London with her high school sweetheart, Luke. One day, she had what she could only describe as an epiphany... or perhaps a quarter life crisis. Her life had became mundane with Luke and she was bored of her 'perfect' life in the capital city. Job hunting when she couldn't sleep led to one thing after another and the next thing she knew she was breaking things off with Luke and telling her parents she was moving to Manchester.
Scarlet was determined to stop living off her parents and become a young independent woman. She had taken a gamble and not bothered renting, going straight into buying herself a 2 bed flat in Manchester city centre. After all, it wasn't half as expensive as the prices down South and this way, she would have to stick out at her new life, whether she liked it or not.
She was proud to have gotten her first job all by herself, Digital Media Manager at Manchester City Football Club. It was a change from the pretty lingerie she was used to working with, and she was certainly going to miss the staff discount. But it wasn't all too unfamiliar territory she was entering with her father being a lifelong Man City fan.
For now, she would relax before her new life kicked off in the morning.
