The sun crept through the crack, flooding the room with a ray of light. Erling silently cursed himself for not drawing the curtains shut properly the previous evening.
They were both so exhausted they had fallen asleep wrapped up in each other as soon as they got under the duvet, a barrier that they had somehow managed to pull off themselves during the night.
Scarlet was cuddled up into Erling's chest still fast asleep. She was wearing one of his old shirts and Erling couldn't help but smile as he looked down at her and remembered last night's events.
He put his hand under her top slightly, lifting it the smallest bit so he could run his fingers over her smooth skin. He felt like he had became addicted to her, wanting to have some kind of contact with her whenever she was near.
Erling's eyes went down to Scarlet's bare skin, red and purple marks scattered around the skin at her hips.
He ran his finger over one of the bruises gently, becoming startled himself when Scarlet jumped at his touch. She slowly opened her eyes, waking up and taking in her surroundings.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up." Erling spoke as Scarlet used her hands to sit herself up in bed, Erling following suit.
"I just had this really sharp pain." Scarlet said, voice groggy as she lifted her top that had fallen back down and discovered the marks, making herself jump when she touched a bruise herself.
Scarlet took in the marks with her eyes.
Erling felt awful. He had let his jealousy take over and been too rough with her, hurting her in the process. The one thing he never wanted to do.
"I'm so sorry, I might've got a bit carried away, I didn't realise how tight I was holding you."
Scarlet took in Erling's concerned expression and gave him a comforting smile.
"It's okay, it was worth it." Scarlet giggled but Erling's expression didn't change. He still felt bad.
Scarlet reached down and grabbed his hand, giving it a squeeze. Erling looked up at the girl, still worried he had taken things too far.
"Can I do anything for you? Run you a bath?" He asked.
Scarlet shook her head, instead laying back down in the bed and beckoning for Erling to join her.
She wrapped her arms and legs around him till she couldn't get any closer to him.
"I quite enjoyed seeing your jealous side come out." Scarlet spoke softly and cautiously, testing the waters.
Erling raised his eyebrows. "Yeah?"
"Yeah." Scarlet nodded, biting her lip as the previous evening's happenings played back through her mind.
She leaned in and planted a soft kiss onto Erling's lips and he responded by slipping his tongue in, desperate for her once again.
He moved his hands to her back, being careful as he rolled her over so he was on top.
He begun by leaving kisses on her neck and made his way down to her stomach, pulling up his own top that looked much better on her.
He peppered gentle kisses all over the marks, his rosey lips barely brushing Scarlet's skin but still managing to send tingles up her body.
"Erling..."
"Yes, baby?" He stopped immediately and looked up at her, concerned he had managed to hurt her.
"I want you." She spoke softly.
Erling was taken aback by her boldness.
"What do you want?" He asked, needing to hear the words come out of her mouth.
