It was Friday afternoon and Alice and I were counting down the minutes till 5PM.

Erling had popped by most days this week, sneaking me a kiss when no one else was about. As lovely as it was to see him, I had asked him to stop coming so often as I didn't want people clocking on that something was going on.

I didn't want gossip as I didn't think it would be the most professional and I really didn't want our relationship getting around, especially when we weren't even official.

He seemed to understand so I was taken aback when he burst through the door without warning.

I shot Erling a look as if to say what are you doing here and he shot his hands up.

"Just wanted to come by and see how my favourite marketing girls were getting on!"

Alice laughed. "Yes, I'm sure that's all you're here for..." She raised her eyebrows.

Erling shook his head, looking over to me.

"Scarlet, I'm picking you up at 7 and we're going away for the weekend. See you then." He spoke before quickly exiting the room without giving me the chance to reply.

Alice squealed as she turned around, looking how I felt inside.

"Oh my God, he so loves you!"

I rolled my eyes but couldn't help a smile creep onto my face.

"Alice, he does not love me!" I exclaimed in a quiet tone of voice with raised eyebrows, signalling for her to keep her voice down.

"Where do you reckon he's taking you?" She asked, sitting back down at her desk.

"Fuck knows with him." I answered, my mind going crazy as I pondered where we would be going.

I stared into my wardrobe, going over what to pack. I decided to place it safe and over pack, making sure I had a couple of options for nice evening outfits, a pair of heels and some of my prettiest lingerie.

I was excited to have some alone time with Erling, the concept was making me feel like a teenager crushing on their first boyfriend.

I was flinging my clothes into my bag when my phone buzzed.

Erling: I'm here. Don't forget your passport x

My eyes widened and I couldn't help a smile appear on my face. I had assumed we were going somewhere not too far away seeing as it was only for 2 nights.

I walked over to the cabinet where I luckily managed to get my hands on my passport quickly and headed down to meet Erling.

He saw me approach the car and got out, taking my bag from me and putting it in the car.

"Ever the gent." I commented, looking him up and down. He was dressed in all black which contrasted so nicely against this pale skin and blonde hair.

He smiled. "You look stunning."

Spring was finally on its way and I was wearing a little white Summer's dress paired with some brown sandals and a brown handbag.
