-- I --

The rest of the week went pretty well for Scarlet. There had been no more appearances from any of the players, which she was secretly a little gutted about. Alice had assured her that some of the lads would be at the party but Scarlet was a little dubious about if they would actually turn up. Of course, she was hoping he would.

After waiting 10 minutes for her moisturiser to sink into her body, Scarlet slipped her dress over her matching black underwear. She popped on her black heart choker and put on her small, heeled chunky black shoes. She'd normally go for a bigger heel but with Alice being her only friend here and her sanding at barely 5 foot, she was sure she'd be with her all night and she didn't want to feel like a giant. The 3 inchers would do for tonight.

Scarlet ran some oil through her hair that she had waved this morning and was pleasantly surpised with how nice it looked over 12 hours later, deciding to make it do as she was already running late in true Scarlet fashion

Scarlet ran some oil through her hair that she had waved this morning and was pleasantly surpised with how nice it looked over 12 hours later, deciding to make it do as she was already running late in true Scarlet fashion. She spritz a few sprays of Baccarat Rouge on her neck and wrists and laughed to herself as she thought there was no point in wasting it on her ankles tonight. Right on queue, her phone buzzed.

Alice: I've just been asked by a certain someone if you're coming tonight. You might want to hurry up, I think he's used to getting what he wants even more so than you ;) xx , 20:41.

A pang of both nerves and excitment errupted in Scarlet's tummy as she realised who the text must've been about. Excited about the prospect of Erling asking if she was coming, Scarlet slung her small black bag over her shoulder and left her flat for the short walk to Alice's, but not before she had poured and shotted a quick glass of Sambuca. If there was ever a time for needing some dutch courage, it was certainly now.

Alice's flat was decorated just how Scarlet had invisioned. Marble tiles covering the floor of the kitchen/living room, a blush pink sofa and even a pink SMEG fridge. Alice warmly greeted Scarlet and introduced her to her roomate Skye and their friend, Jess.

"So how are you finding Manchester then, Scarlet?" Skye asked as the 4 of them were gathered around the marble island in the kitchen.

"It's certainly a change from what I'm used to. I mean, people saying hi to me on the bus? What's that all about?" Scarlet chuckled to herself as she recalled her evening trip to the Trafford Centre the previous day. She had actually turned to look behind her, thinking the friendly woman must've been speaking to someone else.

The girls laughed. Scarlet picked up her cup and sipped her vodka and coke as she noticed Jack, Phil and Erling walking over to them. As soon as she had walked in she had noticed Erling in the corner of the room, but she had done her best to ignore him for the time being, thinking she had embarassed herelf enough the other day. Alice turned and raised her eyebrows to Scarlet as she clocked the lads walking over.

She could feel Erling's gaze on her as Jack begun to speak, but she pretended she hadn't noticed, moving her gaze from the liquid inside her cup to Jack.
