the moon loves the sun, as the sun loves the moon
i will argue
'til the day i die...
that we are like
the moon and sun.
doubt me not.
i beg you to see
what i see.
lovers chasing each other
day in and day out.
the sun yearns
as the moon aches.
they are distant by chance
not by choice.
and every so many months
they eclipse.
the celestial body
is in line with the other,
causing a magnificent sight.
for a moment in time,
all is well.
all is right.
all is good.
and that
is what they exist for.
you cannot convince me...
that they are not in love.
so exceedingly much,
the sun could not be
without the moon.
and the moon could not be
without the sun.
it is an ancient love
that has yet to cease.
it is enduring and constant.
something quite divine.
dare i say
our love could be
just like theirs.
so with every
fiber of my being,
i will continue
to confess:
i love you
as much as
the moon loves the sun.
