"He hasn't shown up yet, and I'm sure Aiden filled him in on what's going on."
Kino thinks that this is a test for Kenneth to prove his love for Lani. The boy loves her, he's in love with her but he's in love with another one also. It's hard for someone to understand that, when they have never been in the situation themselves.
"Kino, give him time. Aiden sent a message earlier saying that he was dealing with Keisha."
"That's the problem now, he's always dealing with Keisha."
"Well this time he's enforcing boundaries with her. Aiden said they found out a lot of information and Ken wasn't too happy. She did all of this just to humiliate our princess to make her leave him."
"The bitch is desperate if nothing else. But she is fucking with the wrong person. I saw Link when I went to get the food. It must have been more than just that."
"Or he's being thorough. He knows that we are going to be looking into the matter as well. If he didn't take action, then we would be forced to do something. He loves her too much to let her die."
Kenneth and Aiden are both good kids. I've been considering them to take over for me once I decide to retire. I don't have any heirs and Layla isn't going to know about this world. My brother and I have already agreed. Everyone knows her relation to the Don and they know not to fuck with her. They also know that she's not a threat to them because she won't ever be involved in this world.
Ry'lo will be my replacement for my empire in Hawaii. He said it will be too much for him to do both. I inherited both because my maternal grandfather started our Hawiian empire, he never had any sons. Our mother was the oldest, so rightfully it went to her oldest. My paternal grandfather was Don of the American mafia; it went to our father first but when he passed it went to Kino. Kino wasn't interested in this world. His brain wouldn't allow him to just be in the criminal world, so it fell into my lap. Amara was pregnant with triplets. Two boys and one girl. I was hoping to pass everything over to my boys.
Everyone questions our nationality but it's quite simple. We have a little of all the greats. Our mother was half Hawaiian and half Somoan. Our father was half Italian American and half African American. That's why Lani looks as beautiful as she does.
"How could it have come to this? We raised Lani right. We kept her out of our world for her to marry a fucking kingpin. A cheating ass kingpin."
"Brother you never fail to amaze me. You wonder where Lani is getting her bad language. Tiff may be part of the problem but you are doing a good job also."
"I barely even raise my voice around her. She's getting all of these bad habits from Tiffany. I wonder sometimes if we sheltered her too much."
"Probably but I wouldn't change anything. Lani is who she is today because of being sheltered. This could have happened in any other scenario. The only problem you are having with this is that he had two children with another woman during his marriage. Well the oldest doesn't count because she shares their anniversary with her birthday."
"That's my baby and it's humiliating. I almost knocked your brother's teeth down his throat for saying he could have never sat by and allowed that to happen.
