"ba ram, toilet is calling me. will you be fine?" ji ung asked. they finished lunch and were walking to go back to their class for the next period.

"I'm fine. don't worry." ba ram replied, earning a small nod from ji ung and a head pat. she was still getting used to ji ung's habit of touching her head. he's been touching her head since the day they met at the bridge. brushing that thought off, she continued her walk to the class.

when ba ram stepped in the class, the seat in front of  her and ji ung's seat were occupied by yoo ra and na mi. ba ram felt uneasy but went to sit at her seat anyways.

yoo ra and na mi immediately turned around, looking at her. yoo ra clicked her tongue while na mi was reaching out her hand to play with the ends of ba ram's hair. yoo ra started, "interesting, ba ram."

ba ram pushed away na mi's hand from her hair and raised an eyebrow at yoo ra. yoo ra smirked at ba ram, getting up before slammed ba ram's face on top of the desk, pinning her head to stop ba ram from moving.

"ba ram is a big girl now, huh? YOU. DON'T. GLARE. AT. ME." yoo ra was fuming with anger and the whole class was silently watching. "just because you dated ji ung, doesn't mean you can act all that, bitch."

ba ram was squealing in pain as she tried to push yoo ra's grip on her head. it wasn't long until she could finally breathe. yoo ra's grip loosen and gone. ba ram looked up to see ji ung was holding onto yoo ra's wrist.

ji ung was staring at yoo ra who was suddenly pale, maybe the hold on her hand was too strong, she couldn't feel blood flowing well.

"i wasn't lying when i said i will kill you if you touch ba ram. it's a warning." ji ung released yoo ra's hand harshly and wiped his own hand on his shirt, showing disgusted look which pissed yoo ra off. "go."

yoo ra and na mi went to their seats and the class was back to normal again. ji ung released a deep breath, calming himself down before sitting next to ba ram.

"i thought you said you will be fine." ji ung said as he examined ba ram's face. nothing close to injury or bruise were seen on her face. he was glad nothing too bad happened but then he could see her eyes shaking, glistening with tears. "does it hurt? did she do anything else to you?"

"my cheeks hurt a bit but it's okay. thank you, ji ung." ba ram said in a hush voice, she was still recovering from what happened earlier. her cheeks were warm, she widened her eyes at ji ung who's cupping her cheeks with both of his palms.

"thought this might help lessen the pain." ji ung was so focused in doing it, he didn't even realized how ba ram was having a hard time to breathe properly. "maybe you will just have to wait in front of the toilet next time."

"at least I didn't get punched today..." ba ram wanted to pull her face away from ji ung's so badly but it was hard when ji ung didn't want to let go of her face, not yet.

"she didn't punch you, but she still hurt you. seems like you will be stuck with me forever, then." ji ung chuckled, now finally releasing his palms from ba ram's cheeks. he noticed how red ba ram was but decided to not tease her about it.

"just until we graduate."

"I didn't know we promise on that."

"then, let's promise on that." ba ram shoved her pinky finger in front of him.

"i am not doing this for free, though."

"what do you want?"

ji ung trailed his thoughts for a while thinking on what he wanted. he smiled when he finally got an idea. "i will claim it from you when we graduate. it will be a secret for now."

"if it is a weird thing-"

"i promise it's not. deal?"

ji ung showed his pinky finger as well waiting patiently for ba ram to agree with him. ba ram shrugged her shoulders before finally linking her pinky fingers with his, making a pinky promise.

"deal."

"i will make sure you are able to graduate safe and sound, ba ram. i promise."

ba ram swore her heart did something to her but she managed to keep her cool and stay calm during the whole period. class ended and ji ung walked her home just like on the day they met at the bridge. the two of them share a comfortable silence. ba ram was glad ji ung didn't ask her unwanted questions and only speak out when it's needed.

it was good to finally has someone as a company, who can understand her even just the slightest bit.
