Peter was stood silent in shock, Alice had her outburst mere moments ago which left the man saddened. Lorena had gave him a gentle hand in the shoulder as she left, presumably to find her daughter, as a show of comfort.

But that did little to ease his mind. What Alice had said about him... it wasn't entirely wrong. He didn't belong here. He was too busy making friends with everyone to notice that... when this is all over and he returns to his world, they'll all be villains of his once more.

'Maybe I should get back to finding a way back home.' He thought sadly.

Peter slowly started to move and make his way down the stairwell to enter the base. His mind ran back to what Alice said and the moments previously to his talk with her.

He had confided in Felicia about her pent up feelings for him and actually kissed her when she expressed herself to him. He wasn't going to be staying and he ended up getting her hopes up that the two of them could engage in a relationship.

Before that he had comforted Adriana after he inadvertently upset her with her alternate worlds self. And just like with Felicia he kissed her, although it was only for a brief moment, all it did was give Adriana hope of having him back in her life again.

Peter walked slowly back into the base, he had came here by mistake and wanted to get back home but instead he had gotten to know more of this world and their versions of the people who he knew back home.

He inadvertently gave them some semblance of hope that he had come back and would stay, his actions thus far hadn't really been contrary.

The moments with Felicia and Adriana being very evident, but before that when he suggested getting Ultron from the Avengers storage facility and worked with Otto in making him operational.

A small sullen smile appeared in his face when he cast his mind to working with Otto in the lab. He hasn't spent much time working inside a lab back home and he was usually alone, but working with Otto... it felt incredible to have someone to bounce around ideas again and to work off one another.

And it wasn't just Otto. Seeing how he was treated here by the ones who looked like his villains was a serious contrast to how he was treated by his worlds heroes. Actually he's treated by them the same in both worlds, just that in this world they are actually villains.

'Maybe she was right. I was getting too comfortable here, I have to get back home.' Peter thought to himself.

He depressingly walked back into the base, but waiting for him was Felicia and the others. "W-what's going on?" He asked walking back in.

"We heard the commotion, figured you could use a helping hand." She informed.

"You heard the commotion? From the roof?" He questioned.

"No. We heard Alice and Lorena when they came back inside before you. Alice seemed really upset and angry so we thought things didn't go well." Otto said.

"Oh. Right? Yea, she uh... wasn't too happy to see me." He recalled.

"I'm sorry Peter, Alice just needs some time to deal with all of this. I'm sure she'll come around to you eventually." Felicia said optimistically.

"I'm not so sure about that Felicia... how would you feel if your father died... and someone who looked just like him came waltzing back in like nothings changed." Peter said depressingly.

Felicia was hesitant to respond after he said that, she wasn't even sure there was a right way to respond.

"Peter... your presence here is a shock to us all. But we aren't trying to make you stay or to replace the Peter we lost. We're just trying to make the most of the time we have with you before we find a way to get you home." Otto admitted, which was something that each of them felt deep down.

"Otto?" Peter breathed out looking at the scientist.

"He's right Peter. We're just... cherishing this newfound time with you." Felicia admitted continuing from what Otto said.

"But... what about... you know, us?" Peter asked her nervously.

"Yes. I'll admit that I would want nothing more than to have something special with you, but I was just being honest with myself after so long. So thank you for letting me do that." Felicia explained herself.

"We know you want to go home, and we'll do everything we can to make that happen." PandaMania said.

"Just... don't be too surprised if we get close to you." Scorpia said.

"Yea, like Felicia said. We are just cherishing these moments with you." Francine said.

Peter remained silent and only nodded in acknowledgement at their words, but deep down it didn't sit right with him to overstay his welcome in this world.

"I... appreciate the sentiment everyone, really. But... I don't belong here, that much has been made clear. I don't want to give anyone the wrong impression or get your hopes up." He said sadly looking towards Felicia when mentioning that last part.

Felicia understood what he was saying, she openly admitted to loving him... or rather her Peter... but she kissed him. Passionately at that, and made it seem that it would be the two of them starting something together.

There was a brief silence among them as they all understood the ramifications of his words. He wasn't trying to replace Peter just as much as they weren't trying to make him stay, but by revealing certain things about this world and their relationship with Peter made things... complicated, to say the least.

Some of them were quite... forward... with their feelings, lingering or otherwise, toward him.

"I'm sorry... but, do you know where Alice went?" He asked.

"She... went to her room." Felicia said with slight hesitation. "Are you sure you want to talk to her again?" She asked Peter carefully.

"Yes. I do." He confirmed.

"Go on ahead, we won't try and stop you just... be careful. Alright." Felicia warned.

"Thanks Felicia. I will." Peter said before walking off to find Alice again and talk to her one more time.

Peter made his way back to the personal quarters, looking out for Alice's room so he can hopefully talk to her again. Luckily enough he found it when Lorena came out of her room with some tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Lorena? Everything ok?" He asked already knowing the answer to the question.

"No Peter, I'm not." Lorena said sadly. She brushed passed him quickly as a fresh set of tears began to fall after she tried talking with her daughter when she took shelter in her room from running off the rooftop.

Lorena quickly left him alone and he was torn between trying to console Lorena first or to go and speak to Alice first.
