It didn't take long for the Gang to make it to Courage City. As they continuously walked through the ruins, there was nothing but rubble and skeletal remains of the Couragians who had perished from Zinteren's rath. The Gang kept their heads low to keep from looking at the bodies. Zara saw a flock of vultures surrounding a dead body and eating what was left of the victim's flesh. She growls with anger and runs over to the birds, kicking them away. "Get out of here you filthy pests!" She yelled as the birds flew away. "Zara!" Yelled Wolfe. He knew that he had to rush over to her to calm her down. "I know its hard sister." He said putting his hand on her shoulder. "But we must keep going." Zara looks at her brother. "How could anyone do such a thing?" She whined. "Letting all these corpses to lie here and rot!" "These people cannot be helped!" Said Wolfe. "They're in the hands of Nature now. Come. We must go." Wolfe and Zara finally get back on track with the rest of the Gang. They all arrive at the Towers of Courage. They continued to glow dim in a bluish light. Maladar, who was still holding on to Trixi, looks up at the Towers. Psycho was carrying Cyclone in his bulky arms as he continued to lie unconscious. "Now what?" Asked Psycho. "I need to get Cyclone inside." Said Maladar. The Gang was hesitant. Only Maladar had ever been allowed inside the Towers, and only TWICE he had ever done so. The first time was centuries ago when he became Immortalized. The second time was most recent when he was allowed to let Georgey stay inside, before escaping a few months later. The Gang also knew that the Towers were very restrictive. It was the Towers that kept Travelers away from the Island. They were the ones that kept the Island safe for centuries. However, even the Couragians were not allowed to go into the Towers. If anyone dared to break in, they would die a sudden death by defense. Only a chosen one had the access to the Towers. Maladar was the 'chosen one'. He looks at Trixi for a moment. "Let me handle this." He said softly. Trixi let's him go to limp under his own power. He was still mildly damaged by the fight he sustained from Zinteren. He finally collapses against one of the Towers. The Gang thought about helping him back up, but Maladar kept them away by holding  his hand out. They also noticed that when he touched the Towers, they begin to glow slightly brighter. As if the Towers knew that it was him. He speaks to the massive structures quietly. "Forgive me." He began. "I wish not to disturb you, but we need your help. You know that the Island is under attack. People are dying out here. The people you see behind me are the ones who protect you. One of them is injured, possibly dying. You have the power to heal him." He pauses for a moment. "You've protected us for centuries." He continued. "But the Power you possess is being threatened. Help us, and we will help you in return." Suddenly, on one of the Towers, a door opens. It seemed like Maladar's prayers were answered. It was hard to see inside the building. It was all bright. Maladar picks himself up and looks towards the gang. "I must go alone." He said. "Bring me the boy." Psycho walks over and hands Cyclone to him. Trixi gets nervous concerning Maladar's condition. "Are you sure you're able to carry him?" She asked. "The Towers will guide me." Said Maladar. "We will not leave here until you return." Said Mic. "It will take more time than you think." Said Maladar. The rest of the gang were willing to stay as long as it takes. "We'll be here." Said Warpaint. "Its not like we have anything better to do." Maladar grins and limps into the Tower with Cyclone in his arms. The rest of the gang watch as they fade into the bright mist of light that was inside. The door slowly closes, and the Gang awaits for their return.
