"May I invite you to my home for an evening?" Hannibal spoke to me, breaking the calming silence in his kitchen. I placed my cup back down into his breakfast bar, letting a smirk form on my face, raising an eyebrow up at him.
"A formal invite" he frantically said in one breath, before raising his finger up at me.
"I'm hosting a dinner party, exquisite meals" he informed me, almost teasing."Oh, how could I say no to that?" I sarcastically said, drastically shaking my head up at him which he found humorous, chuckling to himself while taking a sip of his green tea he had prepared for himself.
"What time?" I asked, drinking some of my classical coffee - nothing fancy."Six..." he replied. "PM" he had the need to say to me. I giggled up at him, wiping my cheek tiredly.
"Do I need to dress... formally" I groaned under my breath, bracing myself for the obvious answer.
"Please. A few..." he gazed his eyes elsewhere, attempting to find a word in his mind before meeting my eyes again. "Friends.. from work shall be present" he told me, licking his lips before drinking his tea again - blowing on it slightly.
"Mhm" I chimed to him, finishing my coffee and jumping off his stool, finishing my mouth full before replying with actual words.
"No kids right?" I questioned him, walking past him and to his sink to clean up after myself."Indeed" he answered, his voice mellow. I nodded my head before looking over my shoulder at him, expecting him to be some distance away except he had crept right behind me. I jumped slightly at the sight, but played it off by going to wash my cup. However, his hand on top of mine stopped me.
"Please, I can take care of this. I understand you have things to do" he practically whispered beside me, leaning on the counter to my left. Although I felt a strange, strong emotion during this moment in time, I hesitantly dropped the cup into the sink gently, before stepping away from him."Okay. Thank you..." I chuckled nervously, wiping my now flushed cheeks.
"I'll see you at 6" I gave a forced smile, gripping my hands behind my back, then did an awkward towards the door and tried my best to subtly run away.———
"You should dress sexy" Mia purred to me, laying her stomach on my bed, her gorgeous eyes following my moves of panic running around.
"That's what I was thinking!" I shrieked, jumping into one place while covering my mouth in excitement. However, I then realised she's in my mind. She jokingly pointed at myself then her repeatedly before breaking out into laughter. I let my arms drop and let out a frustrated sigh.
"Shut up I didn't say that" I moaned, rushing through all my clothes in the wardrobe, passing by all my sexy outfits I wore out with Mia."Then, your prom dress?" She suggested, her going higher pitched, since I was unsure of the choice myself. I show my head back at her onto my bed, to see her wincing from my reaction.
"Would it still fit?" I asked, in a puzzled tone at her. However, she wasn't much help since she shrugged her shoulders at me, turning to look around the walls of my room. I shook my head dramatically before spinning back into the wardrobe, my eyes frozen on my prom dress.
"Would he like it?" I asked again."Jesus, woman! Just try it on!" Mia shouted in frustration. I raised my hands in the air - surrendering - before grabbing it out the wardrobe.
"Okay, okay. Don't get your knickers in a twist" I said under my breath, throwing the dress beside her on the bed. Then, Mia responded childishly by mimicking my words, doing over-the-top facial expressions by shaking her head and sticking her tongue out.
